Well, not really. I love classic movies from the 40s, 50s and 60s, I'm also a fan of oldies from 70s to 90s but I generally cant stand newer ones, I don't want to watch them. People joke that I hate movies and tbh I haven't been to the cinema in ages so I get why they say that. I feel nowadays every movie is bs, Hollywood doesn't know what creativity is anymore, or what a good writing is. It's like they don't even try anymore. Every other movie is some shit about a super hero, or some crap that I'm either not interested or totally turned off by. Not to mention those franchise's reheats, fuck off with that shit! None of that interests me. I'm not even interested in watching Inglorious Bastards and tbh I'm not sure why, I just feel completely apathetic about it.

Am I the only one that feels this way? If I could only watch old Hollywood movies to rest of my life I would be totally cool with it. Great stories and acting, zero special effects but awesome shots, elegant men and sexy women. What's not to love?

Cause smoking cigs back then was cool? All those oldies were smoking ashtrays...

There's tons of movies coming out all the time. This idea that only Marvel movies and Transformer movies are in theaters now is false.
Multiple movies come out literally every week.

Marvel makes at most,3 movies a year, and DC does like 1.
There is plenty to watch. Seems like you're just stuck in an old man loop.

Yeah but like I said, the other ones don't interest me one bit. It's like I'm completely apathetic about it. Fred Mercury movie for instance, I have zero interest in watching it and I always liked Fred Mercury.

This is me hearing about a new movie coming out

I could watch classic black and white movies everyday. I still watch the new stuff that comes out though.

Hateful 8 doesn’t suck at all but It’s def not better than Inglorious Bastards.

The scene in the French Cafe alone is better than anything in H8 but H8 is also very underrated. Just not as good as Bastards.

Look outside Hollywood.
Do not fear subtitles.

All kinds of movies come out every year, some of them are legitimately creative and interesting. I find it hard to believe you can't find some that you'd enjoy.

Here are some you can give a go:

Shawshank redemption, you've probably seen it but if you haven't that my first recommendation
Prestige
Nightcrawler
Good will hunting

Just to name a few, not your typical blockbuster movies but broad enough that most people will enjoy them.

But how about you mention some of your favourite movies from the 40s and 50s? I've always wanted to watch some old time classic but haven't got around to it.

Are you that type of guy who says everything that is new sucks?

There are a bunch of amazing movies from the 2000s and up.

Whiplash

Boyhood
The Big Short
Blade Runner 2049
Fury Road
The Wrestler
12 Years a Slave
The Master
In Bruges
Zero Dark Thirty

These are only but a few of the great movies made in the last decade.
