I dont understand why headlights turn off now to indicate a turn signal. Seems dangerous and lazy. Replacing headlights is a nightmare now too.

I hate this shit too. They have the blue ones still to keep people from falling asleep while driving but the warm halogen and mercury ones were better. They make better LED lights with warmer colors but they keep picking shitty ass cold whites. I also hate often they don't have a good diffuser so they look intensity bright if you look right at them.

LED lights are goated. They last like 20 times longer than regular lights, and cost about 1/6 to operate for the same luminosity. I put led light bulbs in my house and haven't changed a single bulb in several years. You just have to find the right color.

Possibly because the brightness of the headlight nowadays obscures the indicator light flashing? So turn off the headlight to display the turn signal.

Agreed on cars. TS.

I like them better for streetlights, and the warmer-toned ones are better if you live in an older house and only have lamps with none or very little overhead lighting.

I like the street lights where you can see stuff in vivid color. I hate the lights where everything is orange tint.

I really don't get why this dick measuring contest of WHO HAS THE BRIGHTEST BEAMS?! started, but it needs to stop. Driving at night is really hard some nights with how fucking bright everyones headlights are, it's insane.

I bought many CREE LED bulbs from Home Depot and pretty much only used those, but many went to shit after a few years. I don't think Home Depot carries that brand anymore. LED is supposed to be cooler, but the bulbs get really hot and no enclosure bathroom bulb produces noticeable heat.

I bought one Phillips ping pong paddle shaped LED bulb and that one still works, as far as I know. I think that design was to give more surface area for cooling.

When I tried to buy new LED bulbs at Home Depot, Sam's Club, they all said only for nonenclosed fixtures, probably because otherwise it'll cook like in an oven. So where do you buy LED bulbs for enclosed fixtures then?

I think some smart LED bulbs are supposed to let you set a timer for automatically turning on and off.

I have FEIT LED bulbs for outside and never had to replace the bulbs yet. They don't get tons of use, but exposed to moisture and sunlight.

I love them in off road vehicles, lots of light without the draw. There needs to be a better standard for on road vehicles.

Looks like you can barely see shit in the video.
There seems to be a high chance you're trolling, but this comment reminded me of one by a work colleague once as we were driving along just outside town. And I knew this person and he was apparently normal and not a troll.

A property development company had bought like 150 acres of fields and some woodland and was trying to get approval to concrete it over, and (as always) the locals were resisting as hard as possible, and I mentioned it to him and he said "Well, the land's not being used."

When they were about to bring in (compulsory) passports for equines in the UK I also mentioned it to an acquaintance and he said "Well, it's probably a good idea." I mentioned these things neutrally. Just shows again that a lot of these individuals out there, who can vote and reproduce and so on, aren't real.

The premise is inverted.

I hate when a car has them. Anywhere else though they are great.

They need to give highway patrol 2 tools:

1. A decibel meter so they can give tickets to vehicles that are too loud.

2. A light meter so they can give tickets to people with headlights above a certain brightness level when their high beams are off.
agreeing with this strongly means im getting into angry old man territory but this is gospel imho

I dont mind them in parking lots or has overhead lighting.

Car headlights on the other hand are just blinding because they are directional, where as halogens go every direction.
