The lowdown, it's a Crosstrek so nothing swish. We literally leave the town a couple or three times a year to travel 20 minutes up the road and back again, everything else is at most an 8 minute drive away.

I haven't driven in years because of all the near misses with Californian drivers to and from work, it put me into some sort of PTSD where on road trips anywhere I had to sit in the back watching something on an Ipad not looking out of the windows it was so bad. I was fit as a fiddle in other countries/states.

Subarus are routinely winning awards for safest car on the road and it's actually quite nice, I'll attempt a grocery shop on my own driving for the first time in years next week and see how it goes.

No need for pics, it's a bog standard silver Subaru 2013 Crosstrek which after the hellish week that has happened feline wise, my Mini being unfixable and my X5 giving up on Sunday which I have to sell for scrap...I'm just happy to have a working car.

Also, @TheChance where are you getting those stats from and why, more importantly are you looking them up in the first place?

Did it come with this bumper sticker?

Besides all the Lefty owner jokes they get, they are actually really solid cars. I hope you enjoy it... but no pics?

I bought a 2025 Subaru Forester this year. I like it so far. The only thing I don't like is the crappy soft windshield. The new windshields are thinner because of the camera eyesight thing. I had my windshield repaired for chips in the first week. Yours is older so hopefully it's better.

I didn't know about the Lesbian connection until I bought mine. I guess I'm a Lesbian just like you. Congratulations on your Subaru purchase.

Tell us more about the "camera eyesight thing", what tech is Subaru offering? It sounds interesting.

It's a safety thing. It does all kinds of warnings. It can do braking in emergency situations, out of lane, weather issues, etc
