In my family it was a great uncle of mine. He got into crack in the 80s. He had been doing drugs before that too but it was before my time. He even robbed me of like $20 when I was a young kid. Eventually some Jamaicans he owed money to set his apartment on fire and he jumped out of a fifth story window and almost died.

But he lived through a Nazi occupied Soviet ghetto as a kid. I mean, he saw people and even other kids murdered in the most horrific ways, and lost most of his family except his sister (my grandmother). His uncle who also lived only because of his ability to work so hard had an unmistakable concentration camp gait for the rest of his life. It was a miracle that even two of the 11 children lived I guess, during the time the Germans destroyed the ghetto they hid by the riverside for several days and submerged themselves under water when they had to. At one point apparently he claims he discovered his youngest sisters corpse.

I think he felt guilt that his family members died and he hid. But he was like 10 years old or so. There’s too much to the story for a sherdog post, enough for a book really.

So not that much like Hunter Biden except for the crack part. And I like to think he never sucked dick.
