Was just looking at the rankings and there isn’t a lot going on right now as far as up and comers or challengers go, a lot of the guys are coming off losses and not a lot of good streaks.
Bautista a fresh challenger for merab should he some how beat Umar.
Of course Sandhagen beating Merab shakes up the entire division, should it happen.

Vinicius Oliveira - I like this guy, fam friend style and I think he could be a threat but might get stalled out at the top 5.

David Martinez - just scored a big win over Font but I need to see more as font is a 1 dimensional striker, I would like to see a fight between him and Vinicius as both are ranked now.

Payton Talbott - not saying he’s a top guy but he was a good prospect and got fraudchecked hard by the old Brazilian dude, picked up a good win last time out.

Wellmaker - good prospect so far, big power for a small dude but fighting cans so not a lot to go off.

Bernardo Sopaj - showed high level skills in his fight with Vinicius in both there debuts in a crazy war before getting KO’d. I think highly of this guy skill wise, but he doesn’t fight a lot.

Man if Wellmaker is training his ass off on counter grappling and is good at it vs legit guys...look out. There's no question his striking is legit. Great timing, dynamite in his hands. Just need to see if he can stuff TD's and/or get up vs good grapplers.

Very very healthy.

A very strong champion who will age out in the next 2 years, sets the stage for the title hunt coming up.

Lots of great prospects outside the top 15. Wellmaker, Topuria, talbot, Squidward, Mix
Yan, Umar, Cory, O'malley, yadong create a very strong top 5.
Aging top10-15 that will be replaced soon like Font Mcghee, Vera and cejudo.
Potential new title challengers like Song, Vinicitus, Bautista
Active champion going for his 3rd title defense of the year
