It's the UFC HW division, for all we know he could come in tmrw and be a champ. But he doesn't seem to have great balance for takedown defense. Even tho ofc he wasn't at all prepared for Jake to shoot in takedowns like Merab all the time...

No, he would still get taken down eventually (before he gets a title, unless the UFC gave him an automatic title shot).

UFC cards are filled with people getting taking down, and many of them have grappled for years. Takedown defense is not something you just learn and you move on, there are levels to it.

But he'd knock some guys out some swanging and banging guys for sure.
