I had my silly routines when I played baseball, but nothing real crazy. Uniform a certain way, pre-bat routine.

But when I watch my teams, I get ridiculous with it sometimes. I keep telling myself I'm being stupid, that nothing I do has absolutely any bearing on how my teams play, but my brain doesn't want to cooperate.

I know some of it is rooted in my baseball days. The game is so mental, especially hitting, that routines are critical for getting focused. So any changes in those routines can really negatively impact performance.

I mean it's dumb shit like feeling like I'm jynxing the team watching or even not watching.

What's funny is I never got superstitous when I was wrestling.

Anyone else?

It's funny how bad baseball players are.

Verlander was sitting in chair when Marwin tied game 2 in the ninth, he said he sat there the rest of game...

Just in case.

most BB players are total NON athletes IMO.

Have to disagree. There's some who have let themselves go weightwise, but hitting, fielding and throwing take serious skill.

It's hilarious watching people try to catch flyballs who haven't done it much.

And playing infield takes amazing athletic skill. I know it doesn't look like it on tv, but it's over 40 yards from home plate to 2B or 3B to 1B. Those guys make those throws look easy.

oh no, infielders and maybe ranging outfielders, show amazing physical/athletic talent with reaction time and adroitness.

but srsly, when you see a fatass Gattis or McCann come to the plate or a fucking HUGE ass Colon on the mound, you have to wonder.

I never bet on the Steelers, because I would hate to lose emotionally and economically at the same time.

Yeah, you need to be unbiased for betting too.

I'd be a mess if I bet on the Broncos...

I lost $40 on my Tarheels in the 2016 Nat'l title game. I'll never make that mistake again :(
