After Peirera wins the belt, he's gonna need more strikers challengers in that empty LHW division.
Let's face the facts. Costa won't be challenging Adesanya for the title ever again.
Have you seen how many sharks are in the MW division these days?!? Seriously!

The most logical choice for Costa to move up is in 2024

LHW has Hill as champ injured, but soon be back
Jiri as chanp injured, but soon be back
Ankalaev and Jan fought for the belt for a draw
Pereira

So 4 guys fighting for the belt
After that guys like Walker and Spann for fun and Rakic who would fight for the belt, hadn't he injured his knee.

End of thread

He will get brutalised at lhw.

He won't be able to bully anyone there in the top 5 or even top 10.

Lol it's sad because it's true. What a mess.

I still have hopes for Costa. He looked like a beast against Romero. I'm hoping his recent skid was just him being unmotivated.

I don't think Costa would be able to compete against the best of 205.

Ahhhh, so romantic. Wand showing what he'd like to do to Cybog...

as a man who has the exact same height and reach as Costa, it hurts me to say it but i think he's just too small/short for LHW

I predict after he curb stomps the can crusher.

He does not fight all that often, might go up after his next fight or might never fight again

I scored that fight for Romero, he lit up Costa with his jab in rounds 2 and 3. I agree though, I think Costa hasn't yet shown us everything he's got.

Khamza was planked by a lw and saved by corruption judges that make boxing look like saints.
News flash: Burns is a very good fighter who also rocked Usman. You say this shit in every thread lol.

His next fight will be at SHW vs. Khamzat.

He’s too short for light heavyweight and if he bulked up his cardio would go to shit, this isn’t pride where all the light heavyweights were six foot or less weighing 210, everyone is 6 2 at a bare minimum, more like 6 4, in the 220s, and some like Anthony smith are in the 230s

Without his size advantage he's an incredibly mediocre fighter, he doesn't have skills that carry over too much really. He's better at MW when he can be like a tank that runs guys over, but if he's same size or strength as his opponent he's not nearly as effective. I suspect Khamzat is going to push Costa to his limits.

Vs Hamzit.

They both miss weight and agree 210lbs

Yep. And Costa doesn't have the boxing or jaw-dropping power to go inside and KO those guys. And while he's a pretty good grappler, I don't think he could be a dominant wrestler against guys bigger than he is. He's better off being one of the more powerful MWs.
