What type of laptop are you using and how much does it cost and how long have you owned it and is it holding up well?

I'm using ASUS. Bought it in 2016 for 700 or so. It's just for work/research related stuff and for playing emulators like PS2 when I'm bored.

HP I bought in '15 or '16 for about 600. Use the shit out of it. The battery took a crap in like a year and had replaced the cooling fan about 6 months ago. Other than that it's been berry berry good to me.

p52s. probably about 2 grand.

$370 iirc. Got it back in 2017 and still works good

It used to have Win 7, but I decided to make it a Linux distro

So your laptop never overheated? my last HP was awesome with the chicklet keyboard but it overheated and the fan broke.

yeah the issue I had with HPs are the cooling fan, its a great computer but for some reason their fans break down after a few months for me.

I had a Mac and that laptop was top class I had it for 4 years and never had a cooling fan issue, I sold it though for some store credit at bestbuy to buy an ipad.

I used a cheap Toshiba laptop now and the fan is also broken after a year.

400 bucks not on sale. Its a Chromebook 15 Acer. If a Chromebook can fit your needs (it suits all of mine) then they are way more bang for your buck and last longer too. You also get free antivirus forever with them.
