I don't buy this "bu bu I have money" defense from his fans.

At a certain point wealth just comes with diminishing returns in terns of lifestyle, Conor lost his aura, his mystique, the belief that had in his fighting abilities which he was passionate about. The world is pointing and laughing instead of revering which a narcissist like him yearns for.

The loss, the knockdown, giving up, eating his words, losing his soul, Khabib rubbing salt in the wounds by getting Dana and Putin love, a botched Proper 12 promo...

What do you think is eating away at him most?

The fact that he not only lost, but lost as badly as he did.

And the fact that it makes him 2-3 in his last five fights.

And the fact that he might be questioning whether he can even actually beat Khabib. His wrestling makes him a nightmare match up for Conor, he can take a punch, and his cardio is a lot better than his. At least with Diaz, he was winning until the last minute or so, but with Khabib he was never actually winning at any particular moment. People say he won Round 3 but it's debatable whether that was even the case.

I believe he can do it, but Conor may have finally met his match.

Dude just made 30-40 mill.

He's going to make even more for the hematch.

No matter how badly he gets sonned, he ain't crying - He's laughing all the way to the bank.

Conor is a businessman first, a fighter secondary.

He still is a HUGE draw, and will have plenty of other match-ups left after Khabib, particularly with many of the stand and bang guys.

What's the difference between 90 million and 130 million when it comes to your lifestyle?

Conor lost a hell of a lot more than he gained with this loss.

all the time he gets what he wants. coach edmond doesnt dare contradict him, artem is scared to touch him wit teh jab, dana always makes sure he is well lubricated and fragrant for conor

when conor gets pounded by khabib he suddenly sees how much his team mollycoddle him...oh so thats what a real takedown feels like...oh so thats how bad my striking defence really is...oh so thats what championship cardio looks like...oh so thats what a real gangster acts like...all of a sudden he sees that he is held aloft by yes-men and all his shit is fake. this is the worst thing, the defeat gives him some temporary clarity to see that he is a sham and all his friends are constantly lying to enable him, because he is rich and they want to leach off him

its either going to take him a while to get back to his completely fictitious view of himself, or a short time and a modest amount of drugs

Conor never actually believed he could beat Khabib. That's why he ducked the fight so long. Nate shattered his confidence and Floyd surely didn't help. He went into this knowing it was the end of the line and just intending to get as big a purse as possible.

I am afraid his trash talk will remind that of WWE Ronda going onwards. He lost a lot of traction w/ casuals, and that was what mostly made him money.

See, this is the type of thread that Conor fanboys point to when they talk about Conor being balls deep in the heads of haters.

This is a bad thread, and you should feel bad.

You shouldn't derive this much pleasure from Conor's misfortune.

If I had to guess, that overhand right from Khabib will haunt Conor. He prides himself on not only being a superior boxer but leagues ahead of the competition.

Just losing in general sucks bro. But there's no shame losing to Khabib. Not sure why you wanna know if he's crying inside.

He was literally crying in the octagon after his loss to Diaz.

It's obvious his worth as a fighter and an athlete goes beyond money. Once the rich lifestyle becomes 'normal' to you, it does a lot less effective job of masking your woes.

I tend to think about something as "misfortune" when it's not caused by the person on the receiving end, but rather something random. Not trolling / hopefully not sounding too pedantic, I think this distinction needs to be made. He asked for it.

The fact that he's living the good life while you are living the trailer park life.

He was relishing the thought of Conor getting brain damage in another thread. That is misfortune in my books.
