4 hours?

4 hours intense and 3 hours of technique?

three 2 hours of intensity with technique throughout the day?

I remember reading bj penn trained only 4 hours a day.

If that was true, he could have easily had a full time job.

I understand that camp is different from how they train year round.

I use to take the grappling class at Jackson's 5 years ago and Keith Jardine was always there. Even after he lost to Wanderlei silva on Saturday I saw him Monday. I'm sure it varies between fighters but he was there quite a bit to say the least!

It seems 4-6 seems to be about the norm. I think I remember Hendricks saying in an interview that when he first started that he was training 6 because he was playing catch up but that he doesn't need to train that many hours anymore.

Bj was also considered lazy. Outside of training camp varies but likely 4+ including traveling to different locations for some. In camp likely 6+ for most.

For tuf I think they have 2 3 hour sessions

It really depends on what the fighter is training, and at what intensity, and whether or not they split 6 hours a day between two sessions (which is probably the case), etc.

Overtraining IS a thing and you actually CAN destroy your body by going hard as fuck 6 days a week, that's exactly why people do HGH-- so they can train really hard a LOT without fucking themselves up.

Like 6 hours+ a day. Lots of them spread them out over 2 sessions and take 1 day off.

A lotttttt. Minimum of four I'm guessing. So many injuries in training.

Mousasi said in an interview recently when he was younger he trained Iike an idiot by over training all the time. Training two or three times a day but has stopped doing that. I'm sure tons of young guys do that.

BJ Penn is a fucking savage dude, even if he was training 0 hours a day (which I think was probably more likely a lot of the time) he wouldn't be working a full time job.

Average would probably be 4 with the extra dedicated putting in 5 or perhaps even 6. Everyone's body reacts differently.

It dependes on the fighter. Pat Cummins, for example, used to train just a couple hours, after work. ;)

The better questions would be how many sets do they get in on chest day?

Also, dips or decline bench?
