He is going to be 38 in the beginning of July and has been fighting pro since 2010...

How many fights do you think he has left?

If he loses this upcoming rematch, does he retire?

Will he try HW before he rides off into the sunset on a snow-white horse?

Talk to me here people!! {<Scared}

Not enough... will suck to lose someone like him.

Hopefully he gives HW a shot, he definitely has the frame for it and speed isn't the biggest issue at HW.

Depends how he looks in his next one.. I think he gets beat again but has one more in him after that. He’s a legend of the sport

LHW He can keep beating everyone not named Ankalaev .

HW he gets starched.

Yeah but would he be happy just being "in the mix", but not actually fighting for a title, at this age? I think once he falls out he's gone, personally. He has his money and legacy, he doesn't strike me as someone who's going to hang around just to fight

If everything goes perfect (he wins the rematch vs Ank and wins a third belt @ HW), 2.

As the HW win seems very unlikely, I would still say 2: wins rematch, goes up and loses convincingly but looking well or same scenario but looks unsuited for the big guns @ HW.

If he loses at HW but feels he belongs in there... don't know, maybe 3 or 4 max total. A Gane matchup, i.e., could be a banger.

In the case he loses the rematch vs Ank... I dunno, it's so cloudy I have no clue.

I think you’re right. I think if the trajectories line up he’d be satisfied with

An attempt at a big name at HW
A trilogy with Jiri
The rubber with Adesanya

And then most likely calls it a day.

I’ve been following his insta everyday which he is pretty active on and I could be wrong but I just don’t see the fire in the belly. There’s barely anything of him training. He’s enjoying life and he has earned that. I don’t see how that helps him with big Ank though who is constantly in the gym.

It's crazy to say but he needs a win right now.

All the "Chama" stuffs in social media and news has evaporated instantly with his last loss.

His earning potential is already greatly reduced and that is all the UFC cares about, and they are signing the checks.

If he rematches Ank and loses... I don't think there is enough butter on the bread for him to continue...

He could adopt the Arlovski style and bore us with another 24 fights ;)

In his prime? 0

Some good fights at LHW and HW left for him though. He made bank and is fine.

I think he has a few more years left, 3-5 years. Remember he is LHW and also could even go to HW and those guys can still do very good when they are older, lets not forget his coach and main training partner and best friend Glover was UFC LHW champion when he was 44 years old, and he has a lot of fight mileage as well.

There has been much older LHW and HW champions in UFC than Alex, I mean when Randy become UFC HW champion the 2nd time against Big Tim he was 46 years old!!!. Those heavier guys can fight much longer, if he was a LW then that would be a different question, the guys are too fast and dynamic, but for his weight he could probably still going for quite a while I reckon.
