Those 200-4R transmissions were bad if you beat on the car. Lot of torque for it. If you modded the engine and not the 200, you were asking for a snapped output shaft.

I must confess, I don't know what happened to that car.
My cuz had nos on it. It was built.

If he only knew to keep it, and keep it stock

Me and the wife been sharing cars since 03 so these are combined

Year Model - purchase price / miles driven

93 Camry 600 / 1k
94 Eclipse 3k / 5k (totalled)
95 Lumina 7k / 160k (totalled)
96 Camry 2k / 100k (330k total)
97 F-150 1200 / 1k
98 Jetta 1500 / 2k (traded in)
99 Ranger 3k / 8k (engine failure)
01 Impala 4k / 30k
02 Camry 2200 / 15k (brakes shit the bed, sunk cost)
08 Camry 9k / 60k (engine died)
---------------------------
08 Outback 8k / 15k
10 Corolla 7k / 12k

The 95 Lumina, 96 Camry were workhorses. Drove those for combined 16 years. No financing, all paid upfront.

I most likely had 25 cars that I daily drove till now.
My Father was car guy and engineer for GM. He had alot of cool cars (Superbird) and we starting flipping cars when I was in 8th grade.
I took my driving test in his 1986 Buick T-Type

1st car was a 1972 Chevelle 350 3spd 250$. I was 13
It was 1/2 green 1/2 primer.

Man id love to have a turbo Buick these days.

74 AMC Gremlin
81 Buick Regal (I gave my parents the money for this while in Navy A School, but my Mom totaled it before I saw it)
84 Buick Regal
86 Toyota Camry (New preggers wife)
85 Chevy Spectrum ($800 car after divorcing wife 10 years later)
98 NIssan Sentra (Used but brought in 98, 1 year after divorce)
02 Toyota Tacoma (I miss this)
02 Nissan Xterra (Second wife when preggers with our son)
06 Toyota Sienna (Preggers with our daughter, replaced Tacoma. We had this for 16 years)
06 Nissan Sentra (mistakenly thought this would be cheaper and more practical than Xterra, it was neither and shit)
16 Toyota Rav4 (leased, never lease again)
02 F150 (Gifted from in-laws for my son. I drove it for a year until he got his license)
06 Ford Escape (Bought cheap from in-laws)
18 Rav4 (Great car, still have)
17 Hyundai Tucson (Shit, engine replaced under warranty, and just traded the crap-box in when it failed again)
08 Ford Focus (For my daughter)
22 Toyota Corolla Cross
25 Hyundai Venue
13 Chevrolet Corvette (Not really mine, but I co-signed the loan so my son could live that life)
Oh yeah! Somewhere between the 86 Camry and the 85 Chevy, I bought an 86 Buick Somerset T-type i saw in newspaper flyer as the weekly deal at one of those sketchy used car dealerships on the main strip of any-town USA. I wanted a cheap second car for my commute and thought it might be a bargain-bin way of getting some of the Buick Grand National coolness that I really wanted. It made some cool noises, but ultimately only lasted about 6 months before the transmission failed.

The only crappy car I had for any length of time was the 626. Mechanically bullet proof but by the end it felt like it dragged down the quality of the wrecking yard i sold it to.

Good idea to rank in those terms 😂 Curious what got the Commodore an asterisk of shame.

Sherdoggers have horrible cars.
Only two. I had a 2001 Nissan Sentra that I owned from 2009 to 2016 and a 2014 Honda Accord that I bought new and still own and is my daily drive.
This actually makes sense for anyone in the Judicial Field..

Lol the old optispark short out. The water pump leaked on my 93 but luckily I caught it right away before causing more problems. I would have been pissed if I had to run those plug wires too. What a nightmare doing those were.
Lucky you for sure, the damn water pump did not even start to weep. One day it just gave out like a woman giving birth and dumped all the coolant in seconds. I have never seen a temp gauge go up that quickly, luckily I was only like two blocks from my house so I was able to make it home.
