And not an entertainment business before being a legit sport.

- Ilia Topuria Vs Arman Tsarykuan : champion Vs #1 contender

- Charles Oliveira Vs Max Holloway : can set up the next #1 contender

- Justin Gaethje Vs Paddy Pimblett : can also produce the next contender

- Dan Hooker Vs Renato Moicano : is fun

- BSD Vs Gamrot : moves the division forward

- Chandler Vs Dariush (when dariush recovers): see what they have left

I mean MMA is a legitimate sport, do you mean the UFC isn't a sport....because yeah, it's a promotion. All professional sports have matchmaking that revolve around generating money. They're entertainment companies.

Oliveira is probably retiring in his next fight and he already lost to the guys who are fighting for the title. Gaethje and Pimblet is literally an entertainment fight that the UFC would love to push if Gaethje was on board. Gaethje has no business other than name value getting a title shot.

Strange premise. The UFC would book all these matches. Guess you're pretty entertainment based.

Yeah that's what I meant. I understand entertainment, never said I disliked it. I think it should be a fair proportion of sport legitimacy and entertainment tho. Paddy with all the media he brings isn't justified in skipping Arman, who is the rightful #1 contender. Also a fight can be fun and legit. That's the case of Gaethje Vs Paddy.

Seems like Holloway fighting Ilia at LW rather than FW would favor Max, especially considering when they fought at FW, Max had just dropped back down to FW after bulking up for the Gaethje fight a few months prior. His chin couldn't have been in an optimal/ideal place at that point.

If Max beats Oliveira, he's the clear #1 contender to face Ilia/Arman winner.

Arman already got a title shot this year

he failed

I see Holloway winning too

I think Dariush should retire because I don't want to see Moicano sad for losing to a guy who will lose by KO in the first round again

I rather watch Moicano x Chandler, Hooker can fight BSD or Fiziev

You know, there really would be no problem if they did this shit exactly like this.

I would instead match up Hooker with BSD, better for the division.

It would also most likely be a violent fight.

I think it's too late because Hooker set the Moicano storyline up already.

And BSF/Gamrot were supposed to fight twice iirc so finally seeing it isn't bad

He specified legitimate sports league. Prizefighting is pretty unique in it's match making actually that it's not based on a strict league or tournament system and you are either dense or being disingenuous.

I actually think despite beneils lost step he'd still beat moicano. unless your talking about someone else beating beneil

Prize Fighting will ALWAYS be different from "regular" sports.

It doesnt make it any more or less "legit" it's just different, always been different, always gonna be different. Best to treat them as two different entitites.

Yes he didn't fight for the title thanks for confirming
nobody said he fought

he had a title shot and failed to show up

if he fought he would be cut already and in BKFC

Fully agree, I mean I spend my time on MMA and Boxing forums for reason. Whilst perhaps not as meritocratic as other sports - there is clearly an entertainment factor we can't get elsewhere.

I don't think it's chin at all, Max just got out played. Simple as that. They could fight at WW or MW. Nothing Max was doing really effected Topuria. Though he did do better than everyone else trying to box Topuria. I think it's wild to think gaining 10lbs is enough, that shot he was caught with would've dropped him 10lbs on his frame. Plus Topuria has too many fresh matchups at LW, so does Max.
