'Energy drinks leave new father with hole in his skull.'

Story: https://www.aol.com/article/lifesty...ting-for-his-life-during-sons-birth/23241675/

"The doctors concluded (after running his tox screen and ruling out drugs) that this horrible event was due to his recent excessive energy drink consumption."

Ok, the Energy Drink part is already strange, but how is this guy still alive with half his brain missing? I've seen soldiers with battle wounds like that who were dead. How much of his brain was removed? Any doctors in the house?

Holy chit. Wife sent me that article today. I shared with members in the OT. Crazy story.
I am a confirmed caffeine/energy drink junkie. Fk.

Quite a scoop.

Nothing comes to mind.

Think I'll load a bowl on it.

All is as the Grand Crater wills it.

Isn't that the guy with the caved in dome from years ago?

The photo of the guy in your story seems to be a different person. Your guy seems to have had even more of his scull/brain removed. What the fuck happened with the brain? How are these two guys still alive?

Still looks (A lot) like the same goon.
He prolly started drinking energy drinks and grew his brain pan from Nit-wit to Half-wit capacity over the years!

Unless part of his skull grew back. Look at the angle on the back part of the head...

Did this guy have a miniature brain to start with? He should be dead.

Maybe this way he gets full brain utilization instead of just 10%?

He's need a prosthetic patch to make his dome look right.

Story is based on a Facebook post.. That's all that really needs to be said.

Yeah, I'm a little skeptical. At no point in the article did they say they confirmed what had been said. They didn't contact the people involved or the hospital. It's here say reported as news.

His GF has hiked Half-Dome before, but now shit got serious...

Hard to really see what the doctors really think from the article, but it seems like maybe he had some sort of blood clot the formed. I think the energy drinks may have just contributed to the actual problem.
