The American and maybe even international Muay Thai scene seem to hold him in quite a high regard but I could never find much information and footage about his actual fights and find out who he even fought. Care to educate me?

Nothing special at all.

He gets on these TV shows all the time to break baseball bats and "world champ" is mentioned everytime, so people think he was a God of Muay Thai or something.

no record on wikipedia. Only thing I saw was him getting beaten up by Masato. By leg kicks, btw

from what I know this is what i would've said (i've only seen one of his fights, though, so...), he get's +1 for the name straight outta the lord of the rings, though

It cracks me up every time in tv show when someone is mentioned to be "world champion
in muay thai" or "multiple belt holder" or "have fought in front of the king of Thailand".
These guys can't even beat b class muay thai fighters who go up 3-4 weight class to fight them.
All they do is breaking baseball bat and all their students call them legends lol.

From what I've heard he was a good kickboxer won a couple of world titles and fought on some big cards. Losing or even getting your ass kicked by Masato is not much to be a shamed of. But would I say that he is the "Muay Thai" master that was insinuated in those videos he was in? No, he was a fighter that won some international level titles respectable, but not the manga style bad-ass master that you might think from watching those videos.

Paul Daley has won a 'world title' too ..by winning a couple of MT fights at a UK mma promotion, against guys I've never heard of.

Menor is a solid technical guy who was internationally marketable and fan friendly. Sure, he's no Masato (lofty comparison), but he's certainly no Kit Cope (i.e., complete fraud), either. He's been in with good fighters and has some wins at the B level, from what I remember.
