Kind of a random thread, but I'm bored so fuck it.

I want to hear how good some of you think Brock was. I personally can't think of another fighter as green as him, with that level of success. All but 1, maybe 2 depending on how you rate Herring, of his fights were against good opponents. The Carwin win, the Couture win, the Mir win, The Carwin win smh. All of that in his first 6 fights!! Got me thinking how good Brock could have been with a real MMA career, that allowed him to develop skills that other HW's were afforded in MMA.

So what are your thoughts? How good would Brock Lesnar have been with a full commitment to MMA? My guess is top 10 all time, but what do you think?

There is far too much hate and jealousy of Lesnar on here for this thread to turn out well.

I personally respect anyone with minimal experience who was willing to fight beasts like prime Cain, Overeem, Carwin and even Hunt in a cage fight.

If he'd started sooner he would've been legendary imo.

Pretty good he wouldn't crack the top 10 hw or anything tho let's not get that far ahead of urselfs

Here's what I know.

He fought a 45 year old couture who was out for a year. Had every advantage minus experience coming into this fight.

Frank Mir was solid win. But realistically Mir's takedown defense has always been garbage.

Herring was a solid win. Outworked him easily on the ground.

Shane Carwin practically gave him the win by gassing out. Lesnar had a GOAT chin.

Then diverticulitis hit him and supposedly he got real sick.

Looked amateurish against Cain. Looked amateurish against Overeem.

What about post USADA? Would the guy be even around

Skill wise I'd say it was a mixed bag. His size was clearly a huge advantage for him. Never really showed a knack for striking or having a good striking defense tho

haha the chest piece? Yeah tbh I never even knew wtf it was, I just assumed it was a weird ass knife
It's supposed to be a trench knife, which is basically a knife/brass knuckles combo.

But it looks like a veiny penis.

Which is why I liked to call him Cock Chestnar.

He did do very well for someone with such little experience. I just really didn't like his fans.

Before he got humbled they were the absolute worst.

Brock spent plenty of time honing MMA skills that many other HWs don't have. It's strange how people think he was just some pro wrestler who showed up and had success.

Well obviously he would have been better if he started fresh outta school instead of going to WWE.

No usada to stop him,and hed be able to handle getting hit better.

Who knows but everyone one of his fans on here were going on and on about how he was being tested extra for the Hunt fight and that he was going to be clean.

Then when he popped they either shut the fuck up about it (ignored it) or turned around and said 'well what did you expect; why is anyone acting surprised".

He was good for what he was but he did not have it in him to keep pushing even when things were not going his way. Front runner - make no mistake he'd beat a lot of guys but would struggle with anyone who could stuff him and push back and as you said who knows how he'd look being actually under USADA.

With USADA he would have no chance. I found a picture of Lesnar before the steroids.

I'm a fan, but not to that level lol. I always knew he was on something that's obvious, but so were a lot of HW's back then. His wrestling was amazing and TKOing Randy was impressive considering Randy just KO'd Gonzaga a year earlier who was fresh off his Cro Cop win. The Carwin fight could have been stopped but it didn't and that win still holds up in my book, considering Carwin was KOing anything he touched

Back in the day people believed Lesnar looked like that cause of his genetics and growing up on a farm. It was the same shit with Matt Hughes. The days where people believed functional strength was a thing.

People were getting yellow carded for suggesting Lesnar was on PEDS in 2008

Sherdog also thought Super Heavy Weight Shane Carwin was clean too

I mean Oveerem juiced, Barnett Juiced, Rothwell juiced, there are so many HW's that were most likely on something. Even Cro Cop. The issue I think people have admitting is that the HW division is not good historically and very incosistent. I've seen a lot of HW's who might be in people's top 10 that have looked terrible, and that's with literally DECADES of fight experience over Brock. Just makes you wonder

With that hairline and trash talking ability = a bigger, better US Conor McGregor.

Oh what, fighting ability?

On a par with prime Cain, but I dont think he'd ever be that good of a striker; maybe like a HW Matt Hughes.
