Just curious to see how boxing fans are excited with the state of todays boxing.

I'm not as excited for personal reasons. Just not into boxing as much as I used to, but not many things excite me these days. I am intrigued however, by the Spence/Crawford fight and Inoue/Fulton.

my excitement is let down the majority of the time by business politics, purse disagreements, network/promoter squabbling, and the desire of seemingly every boxer to preserve the holy "0".
when big fights, or even important fights dont get made consistently, it is difficult to be a regular boxing fan.

Since the hottest forum discussion right now is about Paul vs Diaz by a mile, as far as actual boxing goes these times are mildly exciting.

I don't get excited about prospects anymore. I don't get excited with any potential fight talks or even fight announcements. I don't get excited with ANY mismatches or showcase fights anymore. I dont get excited by loser social media "influencers" cosplaying as fighters.

I only get excited during fight week of fights between 2 evenly matched guys.

Good matchups rarely pan out in this sport. The best rarely fight the best. When they do incompetent refs, judges, and fans who don't know anything about the scoring system can ruin the fight. Or it can just be a flat out boring snooze fest.

Being a boxing fan is a lot like dating a hot chick that rarely puts out or always has a headache/that time of the month.

I think we are getting some good fights I'm looking forward to the Spence fight.

We are but we should've already landed several others by now. I just hope that Spence vs Crawford was worth the 5 year wait. In no other sport would a delay that long be acceptable.

I look forward to all boxing but I just don't really care about many fighters these days. I think I enjoy it more that way.

Not much just big fights watch past boxing matches even more ngl

When I got time to watch/discuss boxing or prowrestling for that matter, I enjoy and try and just score some fights and bark a little on the forum about it, never really a NEED for the “special” fights, always something to get stoned and watch fight wise, but its always nice to have some additional tension there.

when work gets heavy though, I can’t get as excited and used to appreciate this place to be a fan vicariously, but now the forum really slowed down and the threads turning into some weird Benavidez ritual lately, I just miss out on boxing now when I get busy. Is what it is.

hardly at all, the heavyweights are somewhat interesting but they aren't that good and the shenanigans never stop with fighters and the "ohh, he's scared of me".

I don't even know who most of the other guys are these days. Many of them seem like nice, decent folk though in the interviews I've seen. Nothing personal but the sport has been in steep decline.

For me, it well never be as exciting again as when guys you had fighters like Chico Corrales, Mickey Ward, Pac, Money, Barrera, Morales, Maidana, Castillo and too many others. Seemed like every weekend you had a banger to watch. Nowadays, it seems like guys are more and more inactive and when fights get made they are usually against low level opposition. Spence vs Crawford does have me more excited than normal.

I barely follow it anymore. Was my #1 probably until sometime around 2004-2006 when MMA pulled even with it, then surpassed it. I used to watch Friday Night Fights every week, frequent boxing sites, know most of the champs. I watch when I get a pop up though. But I care nowhere near as much as I did the 1st half of my life.

How's MMA doing now?
Just dragging its sack waiting for Jake Paul to bless his right hand across its face.

I voted 10.
Boxing forever

Well the only sport Comparable is MMA with the UFC being the lead company of that and yea it's been some fights that should have happened and some that did that shouldn't have.

I still love the sport, but all the boxing nonsense, and most fights not happening doesn’t make it easy.

Yep I'm about this. Makes you appreciate the good fights when they happen though, Davis Garcia was great, glad to finally see Spence v Crawford soon though even that one should have happened a while ago.
