How do you treat your High Blood Pressure?

At the age of 23, I already have HBP due to inheritance which really sucks. Before I started taking medications, I had 160/110 blood pressure. I'm currently taking a medicine called Tozam which is a combination of Losartan and Amlodipine. This duo of meds works pretty well for me as my maintenance. Now my BP is usually back to normal. I also take a different one for my bad cholesterol.

Are you significantly overweight? If not then diet & exercise alone won't help you. You probably just have hereditary hypertension so keep taking your meds. I've got high bp as well & I'm on a combo of Losartan & Bystolic to treat it. I don't suffer any adverse side-effects of any kind so I'm sure you won't either. Just keep listening to your doctor & follow his/her orders.
Peace & take care, man.

No fucking no a thousand times no. You need MORE salt . Iodized seasalt . Supplementing with salt will change your life. Read The Salt Fix
Celercy juice is also amazing for blood pressure.
Get off the fucking Tozan NOW . Utter poison. The medical industry deserves to burn in hell those dirty bastards

Mine got up to 150/110.

I changed a lot of things - got out my stressful job, got super fit and lost lots of weight, cut out the junk food - so it's hard to put my finger on one factor.

Last reading was 108/80 though so something worked.

We've seen TS...I don't think he can spare to lose a gram.

Amlodipene, reducing stress, prioritize sleep, losing weight. Already significantly down after 4 months. Once my weight gets to normal levels I won’t worry about it.

Sodium and hbp aren't as connected to each other as once thought. A healthier lifestyle is said to be most effective.

Less salt doesn't mean no salt. The amount of salt in foods these days is effing too much. It's in everything, even in sweets, I think. Less salt is most, most likely the way to go.

Just looked up "salt fix". Just read the "reviews". Seems to make sense, as salt is crucial to hydration levels of our cells. That's why sea water us not "drinkable".

Med industry deserves to burn though, agreed.

Well, sucks for him then. At 23, fuck.

No mate. Even before I started working, when I was still studying in college to be exact, I already got high blood pressure. I was around 140/100 back then. So I can say stress due to work wasn't really a factor.

I'm nowhere near being "fat".. I'm actually ectomorph.
Appreciate it man. Good to see you're taking Losartan as well

Your physician will probably send you for a renal function test to see what's going on with your kidneys to see if you have stenosis of some sort that may be the cause of your hypertension which is what my issue is. I was in my 20s as well when mine was diagnosed as it turned out that congenital arterial stenosis in my kidney is the cause.

That test sounds so expensive is it?
