How do wrestlers take a chair shot?

I've seen in ECW and CZW wrestlers hit other wrestlers square in the head with a chair. No hands or arms blocking the shot.

Some people might think "Oh, well that's just a fake ass chair made of tin. Or plastic."

Yea, well I've seen ECW and CZW wrestlers hit each other square in the head with random chairs from the audience. Now how do you explain that?..

Hitting someone in the head with a steel chair or even a heavy plastic chair could potentially kill someone.

So how do wrestlers in CZW and ECW learn to take a chair shot to the head?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a wrestler get knocked out unconscious for real though from a chair shot.

You’d think that in CZW or one of them extreme companies, someone would get knocked out cold for real from one of them real chair-shots.

Ever notice they hit them dead in the middle on the seat part that has some give? That's usually why but yeah they take DAMAGE.

He has stated that he took a chairshot head-on. Apparently, he felt the chairshot throughout his spine and had a concussion from it. Headaches, vomiting, and a speech impediment were the result from it. Scary shit.
