Here are some fun facts:

McDonald's sells 75 hamburgers per second.

7-Eleven sells the most hot dogs in America: 100 million annually.

Americans eat 14 billion burgers every year.

Americans eat 9 billion hot dogs every year.

The burger market is a $73 billion business.

The hot dog market is a $2.1 billion business.

One thing is for sure, the American backyard cookout is incomplete without two iconic foods: hamburgers and hot dogs. Which do you prefer?

Hot dogs. I'm probably the only American that doesn't care for hamburgers. They just do nothing for me. I went to In-n-out and 5 guys when my nephews were here and both were just way too greasy especially 5 guys.

Hot dogs are more American.
Burgers are far superior.

Went to check the facts on 9 billions hot dogs a year, because I thought that was super high. Turns out I played myself, because all the stats I'm seeing have it at closer to 20 billion. That's 70 hotdogs per person annually in the US.

I'm amazed honestly. I probably eat like 5-10 hot dogs a year, and the fact that there are people eating enough hotdogs to make up my 60 weiner shortfall has me feeling proud as hell.
