I had Williams with a very close first and second, that brief takedown/attempt at the end of the second didn’t make up for the striking differential to me. Third was clearly Periera. Based on the judges scorecard, that takedown at the end of the second seems to have won him the fight.
Agree. I think people are really tempted to score potential danger like in the Joel fight. It’s like we see the possibility that they can crush the guy but at the end of the day power punchers are still responsible for landing strikes to win fights. Like Romero, Chaos just didn’t do enough to initiate action. I think everyone got the feeling that if there we more exchanges he would have won (including me) but that’s not what happened.
