Helen Harper's pro mma record is 4-1, with her one loss given to her by Cortney Casey (now of the UFC). Sherdog stats list that loss as TKO (knee to the body), but Harper and others have claimed it was a knee-to-the-groin foul, for which she deserved 5 minutes to recover.

Helen Harper’s Official Statement:

I don’t know what to say about the fight other than the ref clearly isn’t aware of the rules of the sport of MMA. He made a few bad decisions on the night, one of which happened to be my bout. I received an obviously accidental groin shot in the first round which grounded me. The referee claimed I “wasn’t defending myself” and told me that it wasn’t a groin shot. Believe me, it was as I can still feel it now 24 hours later. As pro rules have it, a fighter is allowed a maximum of 5 minutes to recover from a groin shot, of which I needed about 30 seconds. I was refused this and told that the bout was to be discontinued. Both Cortney and I were completely baffled as to why the fight was stopped at this stage, as we were clearly just getting started. Everyone else at PXC has been absolutely wonderful, and I wouldn’t hesitate to fight for them again, as long as they stop using this clearly incompetent referee. I have spoken to Cortney and her team about a rematch and I am confident it will happen in the future, but until then I’d just like to thank PXC for giving me the opportunity to come and fight in Guam and say sorry to everyone that believed in me for not bring home a better result.

From Emma Bramford's comment:
"those of us who were watching... and managed to catch the whole fight and the aftermath of events that happened after will be in total agreement that 1) Helen was struck with an illegal Groin kick (knee to the Groin)..."

She's so emotional- maybe a hypochondriac too. She clearly wasn't ready for TUF.

I'm aware that a lot or this is just a mechanism to deal with her own self-doubt. She probably just got worked in the gym and let it get to her. After 22 seasons of TUF, we've seen this before.

Some are calling Helen a bit of a cry baby but they're forgetting how slick her win was to get into the house.

I like HH but this match up is disturbing, I hope Lanchana doesn't annihate her.

Helen when she fights is cuter than she looks when she's in the house. Usually it's the opposite.

Eh the preview shows Helen in mount. That shows she does well in the fight.

I will look for it... I hope I've underestimated Harper, she's the sort of person you don't want to see in a nasty clinch.

I really like Helen as a person, but I think Lanchana is out of her league.

Who wants one of these little beauties?! Best t-shirt ever. Slightly biased but I don't care

I think Helen will be the one to get them their first win. If it was a staged show, then it´d be the best time, the one who looked the weakest makes the difference, kinda style. That said, I thought Jj would win aswell purely due to the title of "Who I am" referring to her. They did spoil as its been pointed out, that it goes to the second round, just like they spoiled that Cory would lose the donut eating contest in the preview to that episode. Still Lanchana doesn´t seem to be superior compared to the previous fights, like JJ was a tough tough girl, but you get put against the only one who probably is a tad better whether its due to skill or physically. It would make the most sense that Team Joanna gets their first win, Helen redeems herself from how weak she has looked, and things takes a turn around, yet who knows. I still think that coin flip determined so much, as Joanna clearly got alot of inferior fighters. And despite Helen looking weak outside the cage and being emotionally unstable, you can see her drive for wanting to train and she´s a beast in the cage. So my bets on her. Always fun to try and predict. So far I only had Khalil wrong, i thought he´d dominate cory. I keep rooting for Team Joanna but i keep thinking Team Claudia will win every fight, but i gotta say Jj put up a good fight, a hell of a fight tbh. And Helen will take the win I hope now. Can´t wait to see ep5!

Is there a bit of striker bias going on here with people thinking Lanchana is a different class? I'd say it is a good match up.

Pretty sure Helen wins. Lanchana seems physically weaker than the rest of the ladies and while she might have good clinching, a competent grappler can take her down.
