of a can? Shit is awesome

Vietnamese dude first gave it to me 20 odd years ago

I got a big box of snack s and treats from these guys, this is where I buy a lot of my spices etc in bulk.

It comes in a solid lump so you empty the can, slice it up, then I put some rapeseed oil in a pan with dried chillies, and fried it for 4 or 5 minutes each side.

Comes out a little crispy, gorgeous hot or cold

Patra (Curried Taro Leaves)
400g by Natco.

Patra are curried taro/colocasia leaves stuffed with spices and gram flour.
This is an Indian vegetarian specialty, hailing from Gujarat.

  • Great as a starter or snack.
  • Ready to heat and serve, simply slice patra and grill or fry.
Directions: Cut Patra, roll into slices, lightly fry or grill.

Patra?
That doesn't sound like a girl's name(((

@Threetrees I thought you familiar with these

Seems to be a variation from most Asian and African countries, rolled palm leaves with spices

Never had it but if @HughPhug recommends it I will try it. Always looking for new things to try.

Never had it, but if @Overpressure recommends it, I'll inhabit a deserted island for the sole purpose of having a secluded masturbatorium.

We cook taro leaves in coconut milk with ginger, garlic & chili like a stew. Looks interesting fried though.

She was a hot blonde foreign exchange student from the Czech Republic when I was in high school.

That’s not true...but I wish.
