Have American mercenaries been deployed to Ukraine?

Yes but in fairness the president of the Ukraine asked for Russia to step in.

If Dubya asks Russia to invade the USA does that mean Russia can invade the USA? Because Dubya is as much the President of the USA as Yanukovich is the President of Ukraine, which is to say he is not but used to be.

My thoughts on this (copied from another thread):

Do you not think it's extremely odd that supposedly normal protesters started chanting the name of a specific American security company?

Are we supposed to believe that your average pro-Russian Ukrainian is going to immediately start chanting 'Blackwater' at foreign troops? Would 'American' not be the first thought? Why 'Blackwater' specifically? It's beyond strange.

Yes, that's what people said of the leaked conversation of Victoria's secret with Geoffrey Pyatt, and that turned out to be authentic.

My thoughts (copied from another thread):

Given the blatant US support for the fascists in Kiev, it would provide context for it. Given the allegations of payments to these opposition saboteurs, including Pierre Omidiyar's contribution of $250 million dollars in conjunction with the US government, and given the leaked conversation of the vile and foul-mouthed Victoria Nuland, it would not be outside the realm of probability. The US has always used snipers/death squads which go back to what we call the "Salvador Option," from Central America, to Iraq, even as recently as Syria, to foment destabilization - and now Ukraine.

There are reports that allege Blackwater goons are now operating in Donetsk (now Academi). See also The Nation. Of course, I am sure you will preempt this by no doubt declaring it is Russian propaganda.

What would a blonde blue eyed be doing in Syria"?

Notice, the soldiers being beaten in Syria were similar colored uniforms.

Shocking Bumble_Bee_Tuna believes this, LOL.

Seemingly, he can only get behind a false flag accusation if it's American allegedly pulling the strings. Those honourable Russians would never do such a thing!

I don't think I'm as naive as you to believe that governments will not engage in false flag operations whether in Russia or here. However, given this particular situation, and this context, it is more likely than not, that the US ruling elite would be behind this. Certainly if you consider that this attempt to bring Ukraine under the NATO sphere of influence is completely in line with the thesis of the Russophobe Zbigniew Brzezinski, head of CSIS. It would also fit within the imperialist narrative of America in the 21st century as the "lone superpower."

In this situation, the US refuses to accept that Russia has a sphere of influence. Rightfully so, in any statecraft, one would naturally move to defend ones sphere of influence as Russia has maneuvered in Crimea, and with the referendum on March 16, that may or may not mean war - we shall see. But as Shakespeare alluded to in Julius Caesar, we must heed the Ides of March.

Congratulations on your green belt.

Or, you know, since the only evidence is two unidentifiable white guys with two people screaming "BLACKWATER" that its likely this is nothing.

No level of "evidence" would convince you of anything other than the paradigm to which your mind is already a subscriber. The outfits of the purported armed men in both videos bear a similarity, for whatever that's worth.

For what it's worth, they are actually pretty different and there is literally no evidence that either were American mercenaries. This is really weak, man, you usually are a little better than this.

Just to be clear--- your evidence that American mercinaries are in the Ukraine is a blurry youtube video of two unidentifiable white guys walking through the Ukraine while an onlooker shouts "blackwater"? :icon_conf

We know for a fact John McCain has been to Ukraine multiple times. We also know for a fact he is open to backing militancy, and is known for meeting with militants (i.e. Syria).

Yes. This is true. You need about three dozen more dots to connect before we get anywhere near "American mercenaries are operating openly in Ukraine"

Not sure where you got that from. I'm quite certain it has happened in some cases - but not in this one. The 'evidence' offered so far is so incredibly flimsy as to be non-existent.

Congratulations on your green belt.

Thanks.

Does "American mercenaries" have to be US citizens, or just anybody funded by the US?

Hm. I remember reading in a book on cold war uniforms that some Spetznaz divisons often went into combat without insignia. I wonder if that's still the case.

Its not uncommon for special special forces in the west either.

What? Dubya requesting troops is the same as Yanukovich requesting troops? Does that make sense to you?

Blond guy was probably fighting in his home town. Plenty of Syrians look white and are know to have blue eyes. Also dont forget the influx of Chechens into Syria. Also Syria has Armenian minority and blonds are rare but are know.

doubtful this is to back up Ukrainian forces, it would not be a covert enough of a tactic.
