I know that he is a legit bjj black belt under Rorion Gracie, but i was wondering if anyone on here trains at the same academy as Ed? If so what was your experience training with him?
I know theres a good chance I wont get any responses but ya never know....

he's a celebrity, celebrities don't really go to class and roll with everyone, they just take private lessons.

I think thats more of Spencer Pratt's style.. I doubt your gonna get a black belt from the Gracies based soley on private lessons.

Yeah I would think Al Bundy would train in regular class at least some of the time.

I've met people at least as famous as him while training. The son of an NFL Hall of Famer trained a little at my school when I was a kid. Since it was Pittsburgh and he was an all time Steelers great, his dad definitely got noticed when he came in the school. But he was a cool guy and seemed to have no problem with it.

It's not like Ed O'Neill is paparazzi famous. I don't think he's going to be hounded by cameras for stepping in a BJJ school at regular class time.

I still want to see a omage to Married with Children in his new show

If I recall an interview with him, he said he stopped going to normal classes because all he would get were people asking him to do lines from Married With Children while rolling or impersonating Al Bundy all the time. He switched to privates after that.

In the extended interview he did with sherdog when he got the faixa preta, he explained that he only rolls with the Gracies for fear of injuries and tough guys who wanted to say they tapped Al Bundy.

I cannot blame him, he's an old guy. If he gets hurt, it could affect his career and pocketbook.

On an interesting note, he also said for the last year of his brown, he and Rorian only rolled left-handed. WTF? Awesome.

Rorion Gracie gives out belts online.. why would he not give one out for privates?

One of our Blackbelts rolled with Guy Ritchie a number of times at Renzo's.

i personally would can care less if they are celebrity or whatever (gay) i roll for my game ,not to say i tapped out your mom or got tapped (no homo) by a gay dude.
