Uncle Dana is again tangling a title shot before Shogun, which he'll IMO snatch away immediately.
Say Shogun wins against Gus - then we've got seven months before he can fight Jones.
During that time Hendo vs Machida will happen.
If either wins, then Shogun will be offered a fight with either in an epic rematch or rubbermatch. Can't see Shogun turning down a fight with Hendo because Shogun likes avenging loses. Shogun POSSIBLY could turn Machida down because Shogun thinks he won both bouts. If Shogun fights, its a contender match (third in the row!).
Say Gus wins against Shogun - I can definitely see a smart young guy like Gus sitting around for seven months just like every single young contender has done after getting a title shot for the last couple of years. Machida and Hendo can fight somebody else (the loser of their bout vs Shogun) or can hang around for a title shot end of 2013.
