Can't see any route to victory for Covington in that one. Nelson light years ahead in both striking and grappling.

Oh totally, Colby just beat the number 3 guy coming off a title fight, so he should totally fight the number 13 guy who is coming off a knockout loss. Makes total sense.

People sleep on Nelson but I think he can beat some of the top guys he just makes a lot of dumb mistakes. I think he has a good chance at beating him but this fight will never happen unless it's after Colby loses some steam. His fake shit talking is obviously working and fighting Nelson after a loss is a huge step down after beating Maia who beat him pretty clearly. I think Nelson is really underrated though. He did get tooled by Maia but no one in the division would have made it to a decision with the amount of time they spend on the ground. He even reversed Maia a few times just always ended up at a disadvantageous position in the end.

I agree, hopefully he can correct some of the mistakes and work his way back up.... He'd beat a lot of guys, or maybe consider dropping down, he's not exactly big for his division

Hilarious Maia whooped Gunnar and Colby destroyed Maia and would do the same to Gunnar plus Gunnar Nelson is coming off a KO loss to Ponz while Colby is on a 5 yes that's correct a 5 fight winning streak! Give Colby either Run away Woodley or give him a Interim Title fight vs the winner of RDA & Lawler and once Woodley Moves to Middleweight Colby will be Undisputed Champ
