Now that Pac (the clear cut greatest Asian boxer of all time) has retired, how do you rank the greatest Asian boxers all time?

I have:

1. Pac
2. Harada
3. Chang
4. Pancho Villa
5. Elorde
6. Galaxy
7. Yuh
8. Ceferino Garcia
9. Masao Ohba
10. Wonjongkam

I'd probably rate Donaire over Oba.

I'm not sure I can see that, Donaire has longevity (Ohba tragically passed very early), but Ohba squeezed in some really good names: Chervet, Chartvanchai, Hanagata, Villacampo, Chionoi, and Gonzalez

I don't think Donaire's beaten a man at the level of Chionoi or Gonzalez in his career. His best wins are Nishi, Vic, and Montiel and I don't think I'd put any of them at that level.

I think Donaire has accomplished more and has more quantity of quality on his record. Oba beat some decent fighters but not as many highly ranked fighters as Donaire.
I have to admit though, I did have to boxrec Oba's resume. We've discussed him here before a long time ago but he's not a fighter I really had committed to memory.

I tought that was a troll list, googled to find there was actually a filipino boxer nicknamed Pancho Villa.

Are there any top level asian fighters outside japan, korea, phillipines and thailand?

IDK, both Chionoi and Gonzalez are considered top 15ish FlWs AT and the others were all pretty good too (several of them former/future lineal champs). Donaire has a lot of weight jumping, but never really committed to a division. More quantity of quality is fair to say though.

a few. GGG of Kazakhstan, Orzubek Nazarov of Kyrgyzstan, Chris John of Indonesia, Tokuyama fought out of Japan but represented North Korea. Probably a lot of Central Asians and Chinese in the ammies.

not to many. a lot of the other asian countries prefer traditional martial arts and the central asian countries prefer wrestling.
