I just picked up a pair of glove dogs, and it doesn't have instructions.

After taking off your sweaty gloves, are you supposed to put the glove dogs in right away, or should you use a fan or blow dryer on cool to dry it for a few minutes?

And does anyone know if the glove dogs on various sites are made by different companies? Because the shape of the glove dogs look different between some sites and others.

lol just put them in wtf a thread on glove dogs i never thought id see the day

Definitely seems like one of those things that wouldn't need instructions...

Anyways, I wouldn't worry about different brands of glove dogs, pretty much any you can find should work.

i know right? like if you had to blow dry your gloves before using the glove dogs what the hell would be the point in the paying money for and using the glove dogs in the first place?

you know that martial arts is dangerous and can lead to serious injuries?

Put them in right after training.

Also don't buy glove dogs. Put cedar chips in some sock and then just put it in the glove. Why pay 10 bucks for glove dogs.

Newspaper works just as well. I always pick up one of the free local papers, read it on my way to the gym, and stuff my gloves with it afterward.

hey where can u get glove dogs in canada?

To be honest, ive never used glove dogs, cedar chips, newspaper etc etc...

I use about 2-3 diff pairs of handwraps and wash them every week. When I get home, i'll open my gloves and just let it air dry... I think for most people, their gloves smell because they never wash their hand wraps

This may sound funny but where would I get cedar chips? I have been to four different hardware and gardening places and all they sell is cedar mulch.

I stick the glove dogs in the gloves as soon as I take them off after practice, then when I get home I take them out, open up the gloves, and lay them facing the fan to let them air dry.
After an hour or 2 I put the glove dogs back in.

Also, like someone mentioned earlier, make sure you wash your handwraps right after practice, every time, and hang them up to dry right when they're done in the wash. I have 3 pairs of handwraps (one for each day of boxing per week) to keep a steady rotation going.

BTW, getting glove dogs for a set of already smelly gloves will not improve the smell. They'll still stink even with the glove dogs.

I would suggest if you're going to spend $10, spend it on this. You can get it at the Titlemma .com web site and it works very well

LOL @ needing instructions on glove dogs.

Too much trouble. Instead of wasting a pair of socks and buying cedar chips, I think it makes more sense to just get the glove dogs.

I wouldn't recommend this since newspaper ink smudges off and leaves black stains.

So are you subscribed to all those comics in your sig? If so, I'm impressed.

This answers the age old question....

"Why do Pop-Tarts have more than one step of instruction?"

Just joking!

Are you in the US? A pet store or pet section of Wal-Mart or similar store
