GLORY Collision 8: Antonio Plazibat vs Nordine Mahieddine III

GLORY Collision 8 goes down this Saturday, December 13, live from the GelreDome football stadium in Arnhem, and the card is absolutely stacked from top to bottom.
Champions, legends, long-awaited returns, top prospects, and not one but two 4-man one-night Tournaments, in the Welterweight and Light-Heavyweight divisions.
It’s the final big Kickboxing show of 2025, and they’re closing out the year with a bang.

Headlining the event is the trilogy between Croatian star Antonio Plazibat (22-5, 16 KO) and ‘The Bear’ Nordine Mahieddine (29-15, 13 KO).
Plazibat finally makes his return after more than two years away from the ring, following the broken arm he suffered in his last fight, while Mahieddine is coming in hungry to spoil the comeback and punch his ticket to the 2026 Heavyweight Grand Prix Finals.

In the co-main event, kickboxing legend Errol Zimmerman (111-20-1, 44 KO) steps back into the GLORY ring for the first time in a decade.
‘The Bonecrusher’, the only man to ever knock out Rico Verhoeven, will take on Australian Strongman champion Alex ‘Godly Strong’ Simon (1-0, 1 KO).

Both the main and co-main serve as wildcard eliminators for the final two spots in the GLORY 105: Last Heavyweight Standing Grand Prix Finals on February 7, where the new Heavyweight champion will be crowned after Rico Verhoeven vacated his title following a historic 12-year reign.

COLLISION 8 also features two one-night 4-man Tournaments.
In the Welterweight bracket, reigning champion Chico Kwasi (45-5-2, 23 KO) runs it back with Bulgaria’s Teodor Hristov (18-4, 7 KO), while former GLORY champ Endy Semeleer (38-3, 18 KO) meets rising Surinamese prospect Don Sno (7-2, 3 KO) on the opposite side.

The Light-Heavyweight tournament brings two explosive semi-finals, as two-time Middleweight title challenger Michael Boapeah (21-5-1, 9 KO) takes on the talented Iuri Fernandes (10-1, 4 KO), and Serbia’s Miloš Cvjetićanin (16-4, 9 KO) rematches Turkey’s Cem Cáceres (19-2, 14 KO) after their wild encounter earlier this year.

The tournaments also include reserve bouts.
At Welterweight, House of Glory alumni Figuereido Landman (12-2, 8 KO) and Ismail Ouzgni (4-3, 1 KO) square off, while at Light-Heavyweight former Enfusion champion Luis Tavares (63-10, 22 KO) faces the returning Ismael Lazaar (30-3-1, 15 KO), who hasn’t fought in GLORY since dropping a decision to Rico Verhoeven back in 2017.

In addition, we also get the next round of the GLORY x RISE Last Featherweight Standing Tournament.
Long-reigning GLORY champion Petch (174-40-3, 27 KO) takes on former Wu Lin Feng champion Dennis Wosik (40-9-1, 9 KO), No.1 contender Miguel Trindade (63-8, 26 KO) meets French standout Bobo Sacko (79-6-1, 30 KO), and Mexico’s Abraham Vidales (17-4, 13 KO) collides with Italy’s Achraf Aasila (53-13, 13 KO) in a stylistic banger.

On top of that, we also have a Heavyweight clash between ‘Big Sexy’ Nico Horta (26-10, 4 KO) and Morocco’s Nidal Bchiri (19-5-1, 4 KO).

Hope for Plazi and Errol to win. I want that Aussie powerlifter to lose. Too early for Hristov to fight Kwasi again. I have no clue who is where in the tourney. Is it a LHw or HW tourney. Seems like always a random bracet pops up and Miloš is in most of them.

I’m thinking Boapeah walks away with this.
I’d like his odds against anybody but I think he has an easy time with Fernandez while Milos and Cem are going to batter each other unless a freak injury happens again.

I’m also thinking Simon gets put away rather easily. I feel like the size difference isn’t big enough to justify a punchers chance from a body builder.

In the co-main event, kickboxing legend Errol Zimmerman (111-20-1, 44 KO) steps back into the GLORY ring for the first time in a decade.

Dayum, Errol Zimmerman is still fighting???? When I saw "Zimmerman" I figured it was a new kickboxer with the same name, but hell!
I remember watching him get submitted by Minowaman live back in 2008

at the legendary K-1: Dynamite 2007
(one of my all times favorite "late" K-1 events, between the huge upset of Overeem KOing Badr Hari we also got one of the most random match-up ever, MMA fighter Mousasi vs K-1 kickboxer Musashi, that they only matched-up because their names sound similar; good ol' Japan, never change ^ç^)

Dynamite!!~勇気のチカラ2008~

I have to admit that I haven't followed Zimmerman's career since the mid-2010s, so I had completely missed the K-1 World GP 2024 in which he reached the semi-finale... pretty sure that the last time I saw Erol compete was in 2020 at ONE Championship: Big Bang 2 in which he sadly lost to Serbian ONE & GLORY kickboxer Rade Opačić (who was 11 years younger and in his physical prime)

Anyway, good ol' Zimmerman should be able to handle that Aussie strongman, right?

I'm also pumped about Petchpanomrung "Kiatmoo9" (one of my favorite modern nak muay who isn't spending his prime at ONE) vs Denis Wosik from Germany, who beat nak muay Suarek Rukkukamui in his last fight... will Petch avenge his countryman against the European under their own set of rules?
No thai plum, no elbows, and the evil foreigner is much bigger!

Anyway, when it comes to Japanese kickboxers, I've had my eye on Yutaro Asahi for a while now, enjoy this badass KO

He should. After all Errol is the only man to ever do this to Rico Verhoeven:

Zimmerman has stayed surprisingly active, and went on a solid little streak all over the world not too long ago.
He’s 39-years-old though, so let’s see what ‘The Bonecrusher’ has left in the tank!

He’s fighting Australian Strongman champion Alex Simon, who may be be inexperienced as a professional figher, but looks really athletic on the pads for such a big dude, and very powerful.
I suspect he’ll come out guns blazing, but if he doesn’t get Errol out of there early, he’ll most likely gas out, lol.

Talk about a good-old freakshow fight, K-1 style

We’re LIVE! 🥊

Check out the OP for how to watch GLORY Collision 8, plus all info on the two Tournaments, Superfights, and more.

Unfortunately, I can’t watch the event myself this time because I’ve got a dinner in Amsterdam with my University friends from Sweden, but have fun everyone! 👊🏽

Crazy to think Alex Simon is fighting for a spot in the HW tourney. Winning this to draw somebody like Cookie next would brutal.

Sacko fought a great fight but Trinidad’s power was the clear difference throughout.
Trinidad was able to coast and just eat kicks with no worry when he needed a break but whenever he decided to throw Sacko seemed helpless to avoiding damage even when he did block strikes
