First off im going to start off by giving Dana his props.
Without him the UFC and MMA would not be what it is today.

Now, he has went back on his word many many times especially with women will NEVER fight in the UFC octagon.
I think Ronda must give him crazy wood or something, but thats besides the point.
Why the FUCK does he straight up give a UFC belt to someone who has never fought in the Octagon???? Jose Aldo now Ronda Rousey.
Why couldn't they have made Ronda's upcoming fight a fight for the belt?
And the same thing with Aldo.
I just think Dana's making the UFC look like a joke with doing that.
He didn't just give away the Flyweight title, there was a 4 man tourney, which there should be every time, or at least make Ronda fight for it.

Rhonda gives me crazy wood as well

Least Aldo had what 3 defenses already?

But i see you're point.

Cruz did too.

And they bought the WEC and merged their fighters/weight class into their own.

It makes sense really if you just use your brain

His fight against Young Guns WAS for the UFC belt.

Dana was against TUF, there is an interview with him talking about it. (Back when he had hair even.

He gets too much credit for a sport just about anyone would like.

If which ever of the Fertitta brothers would not have blocked the UFC from getting sanctioning in Nevada, like a year before they bought it, they probably wouldn't be the owners of it now either.

But its professional sports, they are just fucked all across the board.

I hear this all the time but I really don't understand why..

Yeah dude, she's SUCH a 10.

Cruz beat Jorgensen in a bout that was officially for both the UFC & WEC titles

But these people were champions of the other orgs that were absorbed, and were the first batch of fighters in a new weight class. So its not so bad.

But I also kind of see what you mean as well. I would much rather see a tournament for each belt. Would probably get quite a bit of attention as well.

If Cruz and Aldo had flopped in the UFC your argument might hold up, but they have kicked the asses of everyone they've fought, and Rousey has a great chance of doing the same. How does having an olympic athlete as champ make UFC look like a joke?

Ronda is fucking legit.

So you must not have seen recent pic I guess.

I don't think she is as hot as some make her out to be, but she definitely, in no way ugly.

Well when divisions are scrapped and moved to another organization that didn't have it, I have no problem with the previous orgs champ being champ of his new brand. Look at Aldo's win over Manny Gamburyan as being for the UFC title and Rousey's win over Kaufman. No point in denying who the #1 fighters are. If they don't deserve it, they'll lose in their first defense.

Giving title shots away to guys who LOST their last fight and didn't show up for the one before that and then on top of it got suspended for drug use is much worse. Especially when there are contenders like Hendricks waiting.

I kind see what you're saying but it's not that big of a deal. She's legit and she's going to have to defend it soon.

The UFC absorbed the division that the gave belts in. It isnt like a stranger just waltzed in and got a belt. No, they literally just transplanted the divisions, so why not the Champions as well?
