Gi Review [Meerkatsu] Fuji All Around Gi

Hatashita sports sent me the Fuji All Around BJJ Gi for review.

I've read on Sherdog inumerable positive accounts of this gi model from users but I was not sure if such a cheap ($80) gi could be THAT good. Surely there would be some cost-cutting, cheaper materials, flimsy components?

Pros
1. Good cut, I prefer longer sleeves and the Fuji was perfect
2. soft fabric - surprisingly for a single weave, it didn't shrink that much
3. Reinforcements aplenty - man there are tons of little reinforcements to strengthen this gi
4. amazing price point - Ive seen this gi advertised for something like $75 in BJJHQ, that is crazy cheap.
5. Long double layer over the legs on the pants

Cons
1. Trouser ties are pretty basic and a bit annoying to pull together/take apart
2. 1.7Kg for an A1 so not quite suitable if you require a lightweight model

...and not really a lot to add to the cons, I'm seriously impressed with this gi, well done Fuji.

Definitely in my rotation, I still can't believe it's this good and this cheap. Those BJJHQ deals are crazy. The Vulkan left my possession years ago, I can't remember who I gave them too. They were real nice, the trousers especially, but I dunnno, I think the body wrap was too wide in the end (A2) so I off loaded it.

Currently I'm rolling in the following:
1. Fuji All Around A1
2. Estilo Purple A1
3. Shoyoroll Count Koma A1L
4. Honey Badger Gi A1

I'm kind of in denial about my Bull Terrier. I want to love it so much but it's not seen the light of day for a llong while now. The Atama No9 is way too small so I gave it away.

Just got the Fuji based on your recommendation. Haven't rolled in it yet but seems like a nice simple gi, and it does feel really soft!

This looks like the perfect gi to get promoted in! A brand new belt always looks best on a crisp all white gi.
