First Impressions: Koral is the Cadillac of the BJJ gi world, and pulling it out of the packaging for the first time you can see, feel and even smell why. The Koral Classic’s simplistic design will suit the styling tastes of many with minimal flair (but flair it still has) with 2 basic shoulder patches, seam tape along the skirt and inside cuff, and a large printed logo on each side of the pants. There is no embroidery or contrast stitching. So with basic aesthetics the question does arise; is this gi really worth the $160-170 price tag it proudly possesses?

Cool review Ballistics.

I have a Koral MKM in which is almost the same and more than this Classic gi. Is it worth the $180 I paid for it ?

Well Yes and No.

Yes, being that I do wear it at least once a week for the last 2 years now and love it. Also just thinking of the brands out their that cost almost the same or more than the Koral MKM - Lucky, Isami, Origin, SYR, Atama, ETC.... list goes on. Out of the 5 I just mentioned, I have had 4 of them and can say the Koral is better than all of them, IMO. Not even close in fit and quality

No part. I do have several gis such as Blk eag predator, Kingz 550 & Ronin fighter that did cost me less. These gis are close to my koral. Closer than the more costly ones mentioned. In softness of cloth, the Ronin gi matches or is softer than the Koral. Collar wise, my Kingz 550 & BE Pred. is almost the same. Ronins collar is thicker.

The term "worth" is so subjective. The Koral Classic is a great gi, and to gauge the gap between this gi and a cheaper gi is difficult because there is no set standard on quality vs price. This is definitely one of the highest quality gis I've reviewed, but I'm definitely an advocate for cheaper, good quality gis. I'm a big advocate for Ronin Brand, because their gis share close comparisons to Koral and are much cheaper. The Tatami gi that I just reviewed is another well-made gi for $120 price range, but it is much thinner. I can't not recommend the Koral, because it is a great gi, but it is very expensive. I prefer to let people know that if they can't afford a Koral, that they don't necessarily have to pay that kind of money to get that kind of quality.
