The Polar Bear bends Frenchie like a pretzel
I’m with you, buddeh. The performance Gane put on against Jones was abysmal. It was like he didn’t realize at all what was going on with the grappling, zero resistance and gave up the guillotine twice.

That’s exactly going to be what Spivac is looking to do. Get a hold of Gane and put him in bad positions. If Gane doesn’t him fight tooth and nail on the ground, there’s only one way this is going to end. With Gane tapping, again.

I got Gane by TKO.
After losing to Jones in minutes, a fire has been lit inside Gane and he is more determined than ever to prove he is not just some one dimensional striker with no ground game
Agreed, I see Gane winning this one, I think he will come back and put on a good performance. Spivac is very slow and clumsy on the feet, its all about if Gane has improved his TDD enough, but I think he is too fast and accurate.

Spivaks judo is pretty established. The guy doesn't wrestle, he employs judo throws and trips.

If Gane can defend against Spivak, then it'll either be
1) he really can learn anything fast like an athletic genius (even with a shitty coach like Lopez)
2) Spivaks striking and footwork isn't good enough to allow him to get in close on Ganes elusive style.

Spivak neutralizes Gane’s striking with the takedown threat and wins on the ground by sub or TKO.

So he finally got a fire lit under his ass after 10 fights in the UFC and 2 title fights?
I think losing in embarrassing fashion in the biggest fight of his career would be the wake up call. I did see him posting photos of him bringing in Dagestan grapplers to work on his ground game following his Jones loss.
I could be wrong though.

He had Dagestan fighters to train with this whole time, and it wouldn't be some magical shit if he "finally" brought one in for a single camp. You think he wasn't as motivated during his title fights than in this non title fight? You don't train 100% motivated and then somehow train 120%. He's been in two title fights in his last three. Also, that Dagestan grappler picture that kept going around is of a French Judoka. You like the guy, I get it, but don't try to convince yourself of some bullshit.

Gane by late TKO. Spivak closing the distance is much different than Jones or Ngannou, with respect to Spivak. Im feeling Gane stays elusive until Spivak runs out of juice, then puts a beating on him.

Whilst there is an obvious path to victory, even a dominant one for Sergei considering the holes shown in Gane’s game, I believe Gane would still keep it standing and win more times than not.

Gane by mid rd3 tko after making Spivac look slow most of the fight

I've got Spivac by round 1 arm triangle or RNC.

Gane has no ground game, and that's not gonna change in one fight.
There's only so much he can improve in that short time.

But for this fight, he may not need it
I wouldn't be surprised if Spivac never get's the chance to impose his will due to Gane's footwork.

Great matchup.

If Gane engages like a real man Trump style Spivvy will throw him around like a ragdoll and sub him. Gane will likely just run and take a corrupt decision win though.
