Who remembers this awesomeness?

It used to come on about 11 PM, right before Freddy's Nightmares; in what had to be the greatest hour and half block in the history of television.

Some of my favorite girls included Lady Godiva, (a voluptuous blonde bombshell who rode to the ring on a horse in a body suit that made her appear mostly nude) Dementia (a ghostly looking girl who brought an axe to the ring and was designed to resemble Lizzy Borden), and Hollywood (An 80's hair metal bad girl). Some of the other big draws were the Farmer's Daughters, Zelda the Brain, and their resident "big girl" Mt. Fiji.

I absolutely loved that show. Of course, I was about 14 and this is before the advent of internet porn so....But still, it was great.

Here's a couple selections from Youtube:

never heard of it before

I had these magazines as a kid.

Better than the underwear section of the Sears catalog I guess.

I loved GLOW
Used to watch it on an old UHF station every Saturday night
GLOW, POro Wrestling This Week and POWW which was another womens league created by the same peoplke as GLOW but was a "real" alternative to the cartoony GLOW
Theres a really good GLOW documentary that came out a couple years ago that catches up with all the ladies, a few of em are still hot as fuck
Its on Netflix
And since everything in this forum has to be about the Attitude Era, Ivory got her start in GLOW as Tina Ferrari
Also Chavo Classic is the guy that trained all the GLOW girls

Oh Memories . . . like the cobwebs of my mind. This was sheer fun and I'd totally forgotten all about it. Seems like so longgggggggggg ago.

Cuz it was. Thank you for excavating this gem up for us!

I went to an actual G.L.O.W. card in Macon, Ga. back in the early 90's! Awesomeness was to be had! :)

Hell yeah. I remember one match where there was a hot heel and a huge girl, and the hot heel just kind of lounged in the corner and gave the monster heel chocolates as she beat up the opponent, until she ran out of chocolates and then the monster heel attacked her.

There's a series of books by Harlan Coeben about a character named Myron Bolitar, a sports agent who mostly just solves crimes and beats the shit out of bad guys instead of actually being an agent. Anyway, his secretary is a former professional wrestler for "Fabulous Ladies of Wrestling (FLOW)" where she was Little Pocahontas. She had a monster tag partner named Big Chief Mama who is also a character in the series. He repeats the joke in a couple books that it was originally called "Beautiful Ladies of Wrestling" until they realized that "BLOW" wouldn't go over well with the censors.

She even has a Wiki page:

Watched the documentary, was very good. Somehow Godiva got even more hot over 30 years. Hollywood looks good but clearly had a ton of surgery and basically looks like Janice Dickenson.

as already mentioned, the documentary is excellent. Should definitly check it out, even if you weren't a fan of GLOW back in the day.
