Fully automatic desert eagle
is it possible? youtube is filled with videos with glocks and stuff, converted or factory made like that Beretta. but the deagle isn't constructed in the same way right?

would be fun to see

I wonder also. desert eagles slide diffrent than other pistoles like glocks. would be fuckin krazy to see a 50 cal. full auto though

It would be cool just not practical for self defense. The Desert Eagle's really big and awkward to hold and control compared to other handguns. I don't consider full auto practical for self defense either, as fun as they are to shoot. I'd prefer to actually hit what I;m shooting at. But yea bro, I'd say it's do-able. I wish you luck in finding one some day please post pics if you do.:icon_chee

I'm not too educated about guns but I know that the desert eagle is a big gun with a lot of recoil so I dont think a fully automatic version is practical; can you reduce it with mods? I can see it being extremely hard to shoot.

Desert Eagles actually have a slow pushing recoil. They're usually built with a compensator and a heavy slide so the recoil isn't nearly as bad as shooting heavy revolver cartridges.

In order for a full-auto firearm to make it into the civilian market, it needs to be registered before 1983 so the only way a full auto Desert Eagle would be made is for the law enforcement or military market. As of now a semi-auto Desert Eagle serves no useful purpose for law enforcement or the military and the original manufacturer have all but abandoned the project as it is so I don't forsee any future developments on this pistol.

If it were even possible, I imagine that it would be very, very, very expensive to shoot.

How practical are fully auto glocks?

I thought people did this for purely "lets see if this shit works" kind of thing, are glocks so inexpensive?

From what I've heard, the recoil on the Glock 18 is pretty difficult to control. What's good about it though, is that the 33 round Glock 18 magazines fit in the Glock 17. :icon_twis

Glocks are also very reasonably priced, ballpark at around $600 new.

I got my G26 slighty used last yr for 450$ with 3 10 rd mags and I have about put about 1000 rds though it without any problems.Yes they are ugly but they just work.

No one puts millions of dollars in research and development just to see if "shit works". The full auto-glock never made it anywhere, but there was an idea behind it. I suspect they saw military/law enforcement carry a Glock 9mm product line as a sidearm, but still purchase a submachine gun for their arsenal. Therefore they made a fully automatic version of the 9mm line and added a removable stock and extended magazine in an effort to convert their sidearms into a shoulder fired weapon in a pinch. Just, because some people decide to shoot the thing without the shoulder stock, doesn't mean that's what it was designed to do.

And unfortunately, adding a stock to a pistol nowadays also requires another ATF permit(save for guns such as the Broomhandle).

Almost any way you slice it, .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, and .50 AE are expensive calibres. Might as well set fire to a $50 bill if you want to burn money that quickly.

I believe the Glock 18 was designed for and is used by Austrian Special Forces (or maybe SWAT team).

obviously I meant some crazy civilian

look what someone built
YouTube - MINi MACHINE GUN

and people are converting semi-auto ak/m16s all the time no? most of the people with fully auto glock has done it themselves no?

understand that it may be illegal and whatnot but still people do it

No, there aren't a lot of people who convert AKs and ARs to full auto. Also, the full auto Glock is made by Glock, it's not a conversion. The Glock 18 looks like a Glock 17 but they're not the same.

The only place I heard of people converting semi to autos are on internet boards. It's a felony to convert and posses such a weapon. Even if they did it, you will never see it, because making it and then posting it on youtube is enough evidence to get you in jail and have all your firearms confiscated.

The firearm in the youtube video is most likely a registered pre-1983 ruger 10/22 automatic action with aftermarket parts. They're very common and there's thousands of aftermarket parts you can buy to turn it into whatever you want. However, the action had to have existed and registered before 1983.

Maybe someone can build an ar15 chambered for .50 ae. I don't know why'd you want a desert eagle, it's a piece of shit and a money pit.

Also there are people who can convert semi to full auto. It requires a type 7 or class 3 manufacturers license.

You can send your gun in for conversion with a company or gunsmith who is licensed to produce and deal NFA items as long as you first obtain class 3 paperwork.
