Front Mission series

There is a remake of Front Mission 1 coming out for DS and Android soon.


FM3 is one of my favorite games, albeit it does tend to drag on for a while. Only thing is I always thought it needed more of an open-world style FFT world map.

I didn't know until recently that there was an FM4 and 5. Has anyone played them? How do they stack up to FM3?

FM3 was awesome. It's the only one in the series I played, did it on my PSP. I love the PS1 era JRP's/3d graphics. I tried getting into the 1st or 2nd one, but they were 2D, didn't have the same effect on me.

The main character always looked pissed

I never really played much of Front Mission (a few missions of FM1) but I'm excited for the remake. A lot of good SRPGs seem to be coming out or being re-released now (Triangle Strategy, Tactics Ogre, FM1).
