Fuuuuuck GUYZ GUYZ in both this thread and the previous one about French fighters we forgot David "The Fireman" Baron!


With wins over Hayato "Mach" Sakurai and Dan Hardy (twice, once via triangle and once by decision), with fights in both PRIDE & the UFC from 1999 to 2014, this sexy beast is of one of France's finest pioneers, a Judo champion and was the Shooto European Middleweight Champion.

He was one of Tom Duquesnoy's coach and cornermen, and a trainer at Team Haute Tension in Paris...

But a sport that was illegal in your own country until very recently didn't put much food on the table, and with no less than 4 kids, David also had to work as a fireman & cop.
Even after his UFC loss to Jim Miller, he was brought in for a rematch against Per Eklund (the first man to defeat the Frenchman), but sadly had to withdraw because of a messed up knee, and the UFC let him go...

He retired with a record of 17-4-1.

Sadly, in 2019 David Baron got badly wounded doing his job as a fireman, getting mauled by a pitbull... the dog crushed Baron's arm bones and ligaments just with the pression of its jaws, and Baron's police friend had to first use their tazers and then open fire on the poor crazed beast 4 times before it would release the arm of our poor MMArtist.

It doesn't look like much, "a little cut on the forearm", until your realize that right under the halo of light is open wounded, flesh & bones.

Fuck me, David Baron was retired but he was still a trainer at Team Haute Tension , and loves to fight in "Le Béhourd, " aka HMB : Historical Medieval Battle where dorks in armor bash each others with real blades
