he has clocked a bit of mileage, even during the jones fight, then the rumble fight and gus, maybe that chin wont hold up this time round?
age and mma age go seperate ways kindof. If anything I think his age will catch up to him. The man is 37. That's ancient in MMA.
Yoel is clearly on tainted supplements though. Not a fair comparison.age and mma age go seperate ways kindof.
like yoel at 39... dude has only had 11 or so fights and never had any real bad injuries that i heard off.
cormier in that same boat too where the mma mileage hasnt really had that effect on him since his mma career is young-ish whilst he is old.
you can tell the difference between these guys and say shogun where minus the injuries he is much younger but just been through too many wars(and injuries too.... hah)
anyone that comes through the olympics of all places i am sus about... not jiving on cormier. but, yoel, cormier, hendo, couture, lindland... that guy fox catcher was made about... i do not believe as much as i want to believe that olympic athletes are natural.Yoel is clearly on tainted supplements though. Not a fair comparison.

no way bolt doesnt get busted in 2030, 22 years after winning gold in beijing, like how marion jones got busted 14 or what ever years later after winning gold in sydney. the testing doesnt match the drugs and that showed with yoels because it was so designer and hipster it was just ahead of the game and wasnt known to usada. then we have russia being basically banned from competing in rio for systematic doping...(BUT FEDOR IS CLEAN!!!)
not shitting on anyone, i think steroids should be legal and all fighters should be on them.

So what's your take on cornier? As I like to call him.No question. Everyone competing at the Olympics is on something. It's just a given at that high level.
He may very well be on something, I don't know. I think most guys in the ufc are probably on something. Guys like Yoel are obvious but there plenty of peds that are not anabolic and therefor are not easily noticable. So what's your take on cornier? As I like to call him.
Thanks for that info- didn't know cornier had a bung knee like shogun had.Cormier had more fights. Cormier has knee issues and is getting stem cell injections into his knee he even said he needs surgery but since it would take him out of fighting longer than he can afford at this age he will do it after he is done fighting. So yeah he has injuries. And some of his fights like the the Rumble and the Gus fight where tough and he took damage.
I think his career is nearing the end and he didn't look great vs Anderson either.
Yoel has taken less damage in MMA but he had a major neck surgery which is no joke.
Neither is in his physical prime
Very elloquently and nicely said like a gentleman which I am not.He may very well be on something, I don't know. I think most guys in the ufc are probably on something. Guys like Yoel are obvious but there plenty of peds that are not anabolic and therefor are not easily noticable.
Besides that I like him both as a fighter and as a person.

Ofcourse neither are in their physical prime. If Yoel started straight after 2000 Olympics that would be a different game and he would have been a pride legend... ofcourse cornier too.
But for MMA years and mileage they still doing a lot better than others..
I think both Yoel and Cornier have a good 3-5 years in them judging by performances (spesh Yoel).
watched that today at work. really felt that cept for that big right hand and follow up, rumble didnt mount much offense after that.
hopefully the rematch goes differently where his shot connects in the right place first time round!
but shit me, cormier has incredible recovery. this bomb from rumble and that damn knee from gus. how, seriously just HOW does he not go out!

Not everyone, just most of themNo question. Everyone competing at the Olympics is on something. It's just a given at that high level.
