Frankie Edgar vs Dominick Cruz

How would this fight go? Frankie dropping to 135 eventually doesn't seem out of question, and I without a doubt believe he can win the Bantamweight title. The thought of a possible matchup between Frankie and Cruz makes me smile, that is if Cruz can ever return.

How would you see this fight going? Who would you take? If the MMA gods are good to us, I think we'll see this matchup one day.

I think Cruz's wrestling will be good enough to stop Frankie's shot he took down faber multiple times and stuffed every shot. The striking is very interesting though since the speed factor would be pretty equal.

I have no idea who wins. I guess the striking edge goes to Cruz just because of his fansy footwork, even though Frankie is solid with lateral movements and combinations. Wrestling and grappling should be dead even, as both utilize the same knee tap and chain wrestling. Cruz also has height and size advantage as every single Frankie Edgar's opponent (outside of Faber).

We'll see how he does against Faber at 145 first. I think he can beat Faber though.

The only way the fight ever happens though is if Frankie goes down to 135 or Cruz agrees to a 140 catchweight. I am pretty damn sure Cruz won't wan to go to 145.

This is a fight i've always wanted to see. Cruz should be faster, and is slightly better on the feet in my opinion. However, his power is nothing to worry about, and I think if Frankie got a hold of him, he could take him down. Cruz has always fared well against wrestlers, however Frankie's shot is a completely different kettle of fish to Faber's or Mighty Mouse's. This is a man who slammed Grey Maynard, and took down BJ at a time when his TDD was thought impenetrable.

However, who knows how the fight would go down.

His wrestling and top control would be unreal at 135. He took down all of his opponents at 155 like it was nothing, despite being 20 lbs lighter.

Faber vs Edgar and Edgar vs Cruz are fights I have wanted for years. Glad we are getting one.

Edgar vs Cruz would be even more interesting but idk about this version of Cruz. 3 years ago wow, the speed and quickness alone would be fun to watch. I think Frank may have trouble with Dom's speed as he wouldn't be used to it.

MM frustrated Cruz with his speed and was really the only guy who made Cruz look average on speed. The size difference was comical tho and Cruz used his wrestling and under rated grappling to control the action. Idk if he could do that to Frank but I would pay to watch
