I mean 21-9 , fighting in ww and mw and has fought for the title in UFC and 2-0 in Pride.

Fighting a ring announcer at an elevator was not a smart move and somehow lost it.

I mean that would he if Yuji Shimada would have ko:d Takanori Gomo in backstage.

Tripp was just OK - not good, far from great. I do not believe he ever beat a top 10 fighter.....so he was no world beater.

Notable loses: Hughes, GSP, Condit, Lawler, Koshcheck, Serra
Notable Wins: Nobody ranked...maybe Mayhem Miller, Dennis Hallman...barely average journeyman

.....after a review of his record, I would say Trigg was barely OK, flirting with below average.

Eh. Frank Trigg did alright.

He made it to the UFC and got a title shot, so in that sense, he is definitely better than a large majority of the fighters of his era. If we're talking all-time he ain't going on anybody's top 20 or 30 list.

Misaki was a good win. He even came back out and commentated after his win. It was awesome.

You mention mayhem and hallman as if they were just a couple of average guys during their day. And those losses 3 against the top 2 ww of all time … koschek and Serra he was past it.
You show extensive knowledge on something you know nothing about.

Shimada would've walked out of that elevator leaving 3 carcasses behind.

trigg was a high level wrestler who got far enough in the rankings to get a title shot.

he beat machado when that was a big deal. he beat hallman twice (and hallman just kept owning hughes), and he beat verissimo. hallman and verissimo were definitely ranked at the time. post UFC, he beat miller, misaki, and vitale. those were good wins.

he was never the best, but he was absolutely an elite fighter for a pretty good period of time.

and anyone who believe bruce buffer won a fight with him in an elevator is fucking retarded. buffer has ab implants, for fuck's sake. the dude is an announcer, and trigg is a professional athlete. buffer would've died in a fight with him.

I did not say he was a bum but disagree with TS - Frank was actually an average fighter at best, and did not perform particularly well.

If I recall, he was not competitive in the losses I mentioned; he was submitted in round 1 or was KOed when fighting any top guys: Hughes, GSP, Condit, Lawler, Koshcheck, Serra. He beat some cans and a few journeymen and lost badly all his fights with ranked guys.
