Hear me out on here.

Everyday that goes by, his market value goes down. People were intrigued because he was the UFC Heavyweight champion, the baddest man on the planet. Now 99% think Jon would beaten him. Its also easy to point out that he got outstrucked by Gane.

Realistically there are two options, Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, that Francis probably thinks will make him +10 million but I honestly thinks he is so wrong.

Boxing fans are pissed and fed up with Fury for fumbling the undisputed fight with Usyk. Imagine the outrage if he now annouces he will instead fight Ngannou. People wont care and will boycot it. Even if he gets the fight, if Fury wants 70% of the purse against Usyk who hold three championship belts, he will offer Ngannou way less. Chisora got 4 million and he is more of a household name than Ngannou.

Wilder on the other hand is not a draw by himself. His last PPV did 75k buys. He is adamant of getting his belts back so fight with Francis does absolutely nothing for him. Wilder also would take lion share of the purse which Im afraid even wont be that big.

Francis could have been a mega star by beating Jon but instead chose to make one of the biggest mistakes in the history of combat sport in my humble opinion.

that’s pretty much it. francis really fucked up. good puncher but not a very smart man.

He doesn't care. He didn't like the fake "independent contractor" agreement the UFC wanted him to sign because it restricts TF out of the fighter. And no, the result of him not signing is not, "well then he's Stoopid HURRRR!". It's his life and he doesn't give AF what anyone else thinks.

By the time Francis signs a deal, he'll be worth....

Most people buying these PPVs are casuals and casuals don't give a fuck because they have no idea what's going on anyway. You would advertise Fury vs Ngannou and put Rampage Jackson face on the photo and half of them would probably not even know.

Remember how fans boycotted Jones running over pregnant ladies? Casuals are a different breed.

Guess the market for big guys to spam windmill haymakers isn’t as strong as some might have thought.

watching a fighter with legitimate skills enter the division and destroy it is satisfying even if I can’t stand jones.

Its a fair point but I dont think Frank Warren & co. And Francis Ngannou have the promotional power, specially without UFC, to promote this enough to the casual fanbase.

You know what else restricts him? Going broke from all the scumbag leeches who talked him into throwing away his MMA career.

99% of who thinks Jones would beat Ngannou? Your idiot circle of friends?

Ngannou would smash Jones. Put the crack pipe down...NOW.

Someone who flies in private jets, buy 500k watches and can afford not to work for years…Means Francis already made more than enough money with the UFC and doesn’t need it anymore, just depends if he’s gonna keep this lifestyle and burn it quick or tone it down and live luxuriously but with the feet on the ground for the rest of his life.
