damn, looking back at ronda and her career four years later, you can see a huge missed opportunity by her. if she had admitted defeat and faced the crowd, so to speak, her legacy would be looked back upon a lot more favorably. in a sport where you're supposed to face difficulties and overcome them, she did the exact opposite, and bowed out of the sport with her tail between her legs, again so to speak haha.

she should have done what conor did after losing to nate. admit it, and do your best to make it right. and he did with beating nate the second time. even if ronda had never won again, her downfall was ultimately about deciding to avoid difficulties.

Never seen a fighter just mentally break down after just one loss like Ronda. She had incredible work ethic and elite grappling abilities, but her coach protected and sheltered her which ultimately lead to her being exposed as a terrible striker.

Not defending Honda, she was obnoxious, arrogant and seemed like a POS on the Ultimate Fighter show. But, she had a horrible coach, Edmond Tarverdyan. With proper coaching and game planning, Honda could have evolved and competed with anyone. with Edmond, she was was dominated by Holm and Nunes, both horrible showings by Rousey. She was not competitive in either fight. Six months with Greg Jackson and she remains a top 3 - 4 fighter for years.

#2 WMMA GOAT for me. I get that her personality can be obnoxious and abrasive, but she really doesn’t deserve the bullshit hate she gets for her career.

Yeah, but to be fair she couldn't have done those things. She is basically half-retarded mentally and physically. Her mom mugged her in her sleep to beat judo into her over years. All of her friends are through work. People that are significantly worse than her in ability and/or female friends that are significantly uglier than her. Admitting failure goes against the performance-based love from her mom. We've seen how she acts when interviews aren't super catered to her. Neutral even and not necessarily a hostile interview. She shuts down and comes across half-dead/dumb/rude/snarky. Heck, we've seen how she looks when she dresses herself instead of having a handler do it. She looks like a 6-year old trying on clothes in an attic.

Actually improving with a real camp would make her look really dumb for probably a good year or two. She doesn't want to go through the hurtful growing period of being a novice and looking bad initially.
