IFC Caged Combat talk about random but my local Chinese food place had about 12 dvds for sale $2 ea had the usual garbage but also had this gem. Naturally I picked it up, gonna watch it now I'm pumped from what I researched without spoiling too much the event was in 1996. Oldskewl MMA for $2 nice.

Anyways anyone have anything else interesting like this they wanna share? Love to see some rare DVD's/VHS tapes.

EDIT: So far this seems to have no rules or time limit, fucking awesome.

Where in Canada? I want one too.

Not rare, but when Zellers was clearing out their stock with their going out of business sale, the PRIDE DVD's I bought on Amazon and a video store in Hamilton, Ont that were 20-35 bucks each were 5 dollars each.

Only one copy haha I see it's on the web for about $30. I have a few Pride DVDs as well got them at a dollar store but I'm sure they are fairly common.

Maybe they have overstock?

I have most of the PRIDE DVD's. If I did an inventory, maybe I'm missing about four or five of them between PRIDE and Bushido.

It's in the IFC box set also, which I bought for $20 about 10 years ago.

It's a really good tournament. The other 4 events are so-so

I have UFC 1-20 on VHS (including both Ultimate Ultimates, and Ultimate Brazil/Japan, and I didn't pay more than $5 for any of them. The dark ages of MMA were good for one thing, cheap MMA on VHS. Some of them I got new at Walmart for $2 a piece. Also have some old KOTC, All 3 Battlecade: Extreme Fighting, and ICC events on VHS, I spent a lot of time hunting down old MMA events back in the day, the hunt was half the fun.

I found some of the old Superbrawls on DVD at Walmart for $2-3 a piece, they were labelled as TAPOUT MMA. One features a tournament with Denis Kang, Joe Doerksen, Mayhem and Jonathon Goulet, and its headlined by Cabbage vs Justin Eilers.

Got this one on DVD for $2 also at Walmart also. Pretty solid.

This event has been awesome cannot believe I have never seen it, the production seems so similar to the UFC's at the time. Also the mat appears to be an old UFC mat one with the oldschool guy and globe that said "Ultimate" or whatever, only it's just painted over black haha.

There were threats of a lawsuit over the "ultiman" logo, that's why they painted over it at the last minute.

Probably have a real "rare" gem.....one of my best friends was stationed in Iraq in 2009-2010. When he came back home, he came to visit and brought me something I didn't expect. Apparently, copy right laws don't apply in that country. hahahhaha He brought me a box set, that has 15 DVDs, with UFC 1-100 in the box set.....Here's what's crazy.....the discs say "Digitally Compressed."....The quality is so, so.......some events look like VHS quality, while others look better. Only 2 of the discs will not play at all, and some PPVs cut off early.....but overall, it is a very neat "gem" to have.....Here's what else is crazy.....the box has Rampage and Arvloski on the front, but on the back where the events are listed.....it has a picture of Bautista from WWE. hahahahahha He said they don't know much of a difference over there. hahahhahaha I think in total, he paid $10 U.S. for it, and also brought my wife a set that has every episode of The X-Files on it. I have gotten to watch many early PPVs that when I was a kid, we only got a chance to rent on VHS at the video store from time to time, so it was a great gift. Just wonder if anyone else has ever ran into a set like this???

Hey i know this post is old.
So i have been searching for an old VHS instructional from Igor Vovchanchyn. I've pretty much tried all selling platforms and nothing (even contacted the old producers)

I was wondering if someone around here has them and his willing to sell them or something like that.

Omg I miss Zellers

'Where PAIN is the only way out!' is an awesome slogan. Some org needs to start using that today.

Maybe I will have to start an org myself to bring it back. We could have stun lancers standing by the cage door with cattle prods, ready to jab people even if they are just leaving after a flawless 10 second KO win. Pain is the ONLY way out, maggots!

Cool thread. I also have the IFC box set. 5 VHS featuring Igor, Fulton vs. Matyushenko, Dan Severn, etc. It's a decent set.

Found these not too long ago:

not sure how rare it is, but if you ever have the chance to get the ZST: The Battlefield DVD do it.
