Formulaic shows that were awesome

House MD. Every episode was damn near identical but the formula was so good that I never got sick of it.

Monk. Don't see that many people talk about this show but it was great. There was a formula for every episode but it was hilarious watching it unfold.

Funny, monk and house both would be in my top 5 TV characters of all time.

I guess great characters make up for the repetitive formula.

These two shows below may have overarching storylines, but episodes are still formulaic. Fun shows though.

If a show finds a popular and enduring formula, that's the best thing that can happen to people involved in the production of that show, as it guarantees at least 7 plus seasons.

As a euro looking in, I wasn't pissed at Brooklyn Nine Nine.

It found a way to be fast enough in its delivery to shake any formulas its episodes clearly followed

Law and Order. Well, I wouldn't say "awesome" but pretty damn entertaining.

If you were forced to watch enough episodes of SVU to please your significant other, you can safely say Law and Order sucks and the cops talk like children

Johnny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu has great chemistry together in elementary!! I also really liked the captain and black detective that was working with them.

I think Moriarty was maybe the only let down for me, not the character, just under used I thought.

The little copper was cool without reverting to your typical badass guns blazing TV show cop.

Lucy Liu looks better and better the older she gets, her wardrobe in Elementary was sexy as fuck without being sexy at all.
She's 51 man!
