... Please tell me what i need to know about the game between Houston Rockets and Miami Heat today. For some reason I've decided that i like Rockets and i guess I'll be cheering for them, but what are the things i need to know before watching? The only players i know are Dwight Howard for the Rocktets and Lebron and Wade (i think that's his name) for Miami.

I got a pretty good understanding of the rules, i just want to know more about what's at stake and a little bit of fun knowledge beforehand. So if you like the NBA, please teach me the things i need to know! Cheers :)

Expect to see chucker Hardcan living at the free throw line while the refs swallow their whistle as the NBA's leading paint scorer (Bern) gets hacked all game

its regular season so basically nothing is at stake, both teams are going into playoffs and they are only playing to stay in shape / get in shape for playoffs...

Oh okay, i will watch just to try to get a better understanding of the game. Just a noob question btw: Which teams are the best? Like, a top 5 list or something.

Nothing at stake. Keep an eye out for the friendly / rigged. Miami cHeat* (what they are known as around the league) always conveniently end up on the good side of the whistle in marquee match ups.

Dont choose either team. A true NBA fan would want both of them to lose.

when the roided out guy (Lebron James), tucks the ball into his chest and runs people over, its always a foul on the defense. If anyone else does it, it's called a charge

Probably because they were to busy jacking up jump shots and getting lucky.

lol most efficient shooting team in NBA history all season long but I'm sure it was just luck in the Finals

Lol'ing hard @ the notion that FT's are the only indicator of the friendly / rigged. This is a busch league analysis. The neutral eye could clearly tell which side Stern favored in that series. Spurs were cheated out of that title.

International fans should cheer for the only international team. Toronto. Also the whole hockey connection.... come on mang...... plus raptors are one of the most fun teams in the league to watch, straight up. They compete and are young.

You should support a really shitty rebuilding team and then when they turn it around it feels greater than latching on to an already good team with zero thought. See the entire Eastern conference outside of like 2 teams.

However not the Lakers, they have too many bandwagon fans.
