A lot of sites are reporting that Joanne is the first European Champion in the UFC or at least the first Eastern European Champion, but they're forgetting Bas and Arlovski. Even Khabib has been posting this:

Reminds me of the time the UFC was claiming that Cain was the first Mexican HW Champ, while Ricco Rodriguez is half Mexican.

What do you expect? MMA media is a joke.

Even Goldie himself in the overrun said, first there was Rutten, then there was Arlovski, and now the third European champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk. So UFC knows the score and mma media will follow suit.

Pretty sure they said last night that Bas and Arlovski came first. Mma media usually takes a few days to catch up

Tells a lot about the "reporters" that are worshipped in these boards.

Good to hear that the UFC got it right. It's funny to see other outlets getting it wrong. I've seen first European Champ and first Eastern European Champ. I didn't hear Goldie comment.

How could anyone not know that beforehand and missed the times Organ and Goldie said she was the third one ?

Since you're in France, you probably know that the fights were played in the middle of the night. I'm in Germany and watched a replay. Before watching the replay, I already saw websites proclaiming that Joanne was the first UFC European champion, like the one below

BTW, Arlovski was the first Eastern European Champion

Others are saying, "modern era"

I'm not sure how does that explain why people were wrong.
