Social Finding Your Roots: Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, Tulsi Gabbard

Isn't Paul Ryan Irish because despite all of the hollering about cutting legal immigration on the way out the door Ryan being the lowlife hypocrite we have come to expect from the Republican tried to push through legislation to increase Irish immigration. I wonder what the reaction would have been if Obama had pushed for legislation to increase Kenyan immigration? But hey I guess Irish immigration is the kind of immigration the US wants and needs, I mean honestly could the US ever celebrate ST. Patrick's day enough? There will never be enough violent alcoholics in this country so we need desperately to import more Irish.

Yes. Irish are just better.

Perhaps Irish have higher rates of skills, perpetrate lower rates of crimes, and ultimately ask less of the system. This would make them more desirable immigrants. Have you studied any of that?

The line is long. Best to the front of the line. "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses..." doesn't preclude picking the best from this lot: some of whom may not be that tired, poor, or hungrily huddled.

Why pick the "best" based on background as opposed to, you know, marketeable skills?

Let the free market sort immigration out, just let government screen them for potential security risks.

Because the free market doesn't make these decisions before letting them in, and the free market also has nothing to do with crime which is something I just mentioned. Accepting immigrants based on these factors is a calculated decision rooted in precedent (or individual history). It's a far superior method of premeditating supply for free market demands.

Furthermore, this is what the visa program is intended to address, and most visas aren't intended to be permanent, yet our corrupt politicians who have no concern for our native population didn't seem to care. Some even call for abolishing ICE. That's how little they care about Americans who it is their first duty to serve.

I remember Trump getting blasted for suggesting a Mexican-American judge couldn't make impartial decisions due to his ethnic background. Apparently that's kosher with Ryan.

Oh, how the left hates itself.

If that's the case why is Paul Ryan trying to get more Irish immigrants, could it be that the hypocrite fu*k is Also Irish? How do we know that these Irish immigrants are qualified under your qualifications they would be the last you should look for especially in medicine where there is a desperate need for qualified professionals. Maybe it's me but I don't see the medical schools in this country bursting with Irish immigrants. Why else push for increase immigration from Ireland, do we need more wine tasters? Is there a shortage of football hooligans I don't know about? Is there a shortage of child molesting Catholic Priests?

I'll make a deal with you Irish can immigrate to the US in unlimited numbers if they agree to fight Floyd Mayweather first.

Doubling down, I see. Won't even try to hide it.

Free market can certainly make said decisions given a regulatory framework given for it, like the HB-1 visa program.

Companies hire recruitment agencies abroad and they submit the paperwork after they already have the individual they want to hire.

Much better, if you goal is to increase productive immigrants, to let people with jobs get in and get out.

Indeed, but its not democrats who are blocking immigration reform.

Except that the case the Mexican-American judge was seeing had absolutely squat to do with anything related to Mexico, it was a fraud case involving Trump U.

Because Ireland isn’t a shithole country.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't morbidly curious to see what kind of upbringing/background could possibly lead someone to be as hollow as Rubio, as despicable as Paul Ryan, or as unprincipled as both.

If we eliminate Mitch McConnell from the discussion, these might be the two most loathsome pieces of shit in recent congressional history.

Gabbard is okay.

Doubling down, I see. Won't even try to hide it.
Doubling down on the obvious truth yes. Are doubling down on playing stupid about the reason that waste of space Ryan is pushing to increase Irish immigration?

Beside there should be quite a few Irish immigrants already in this country among the estimated 700,000 illegal European immigrants in the US.

Really? So that means Obama fixed the issue in his first two years with that super majority the Democrats had for 2 years? Nope...didnt do a single thing for it.

Also Trump gave them two deals for DACA for funding for the wall and they said no....so yeah, they are blocking reform also.

1.- He used all his political ammo to pass the stimulus bill and Obamacare, by the time he wanted to reform immgration he had lost control of the house.

2.- Trump gave them nothing on DACA but his word, im pretty sure that Dems would trade wall for DACA made into law.

Concession on selective immigration policy accepted.

Yes, the visa program already exists, and the long-term visa program is deeply problematic for the native population because it has been twisted into a employee replacement program. The politician who conceived that program is outraged by what it has become.

Both sides are responsible for the lack of an agreement.

Except that Trump was campaigning on a presidential platform for the wall. Yes, he was full of shit, but so too are those who root criticism of hypocrisy in identity irrespective of the details of the policy itself.

Pretty much the same thing Americans said about the Irish when they started arriving. Then by nothing more than sheer coincidence along with the arrival of the Italians began the first great American crime wave. Also the Draft riots, which tbh wasn't exactly the best way to start in your new host country.
