Seems a popular maker of medical uniforms has come under fire today after posting and then removing a video that people have been calling sexist and demeaning to women. The video shows a lady trying to make sense of an upside down "Medical Terminology for Dummies" book. The camera zooms in on the woman as she adjusts the waist of her pants, prominently displaying a badge that identifies her as a DO (doctor of osteopathic medicine), which has also drawn outrage from the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine and osteopathic physicians.

It doesn't bother me, but I've been seeing people lose their minds all day on social media over this. Lots of women, DOs, and various groups containing women and DOs have been calling for boycotts of this product.

Honestly, female MD's are probably laughing their asses off at this ad.

RN's too.

It's a DO joke, they're the only ones with the right get offended.

Osteopathy... they were making fun of massage doctors?

I have no need for medical clothing, but I want to buy one now to outrage the people getting angry at this ad.

Most angry posts I've seen on social media about this have been about sexism with fewer posts about DOs. But that may be more of a function of the size of both groups (women drs vs DOs).

FIGS is a female founded company whose only mission is to make you guys feel awesome.

Very conservative of them. We guys like to feel awesome.

2020 is the year of everyone being so damn sensitive, although I don't really get why they would post that photo.

Seems like some pretty poor judgment. I wonder how many people in the company that had to go through to get approved before it was finally posted. All those people involved should be fired.

DOs are practicing physicians same as MDs lol at ppl calling them masseuses while they enjoy their 300k + salaries
